I am speculating that bitcoin may go over $50,000 in 2018. We are having a down moments in cryptocurrencies pricing cycle and we should expect a surge in price in some days to come. We may thing that the upward trend is over but we can really see what has happened in few days for now, how bitcoin has grown from the bottom  $5,987 in poloniex to over $10,000 yesterday.

Why do you think that Chinese new year ending would reduce the price? Most people are actually speculating on the opposite. The logic being that money left crypto to fund Chinese New Year expenses and when it's passed they will come back to the market and buy their positions back.

What made you think that way OP? Is it only because of Chinese New Year? If that is the case, that I'd one baseless speculation since people who needs money should have had already converted their btc into fiat and I am sure that by the said date(s), Bitcoin will start to rise faster as we see money coming back into crypto. I am speculating that bitcoin may go over $50,000 in 2018. We are having a down moments in cryptocurrencies pricing cycle and we should expect a surge in price in some days to come. Reaching 50k by end of the year is about the only thing I agreed with. There's about zero chance of bitcoin hitting 3k and then recovering to reach 50k within the same year. Having hit 6k, if we can have an uptrend from here for the rest of the year without too many major stumbling blocks then 50k is feasible.

I'm sorry but bitcoin is still is still above $10K Feb 17, and I doubt that we can see it touching below $10K this month. On the contrary, this rally that we are seeing will continue and not be affected and drop significantly after the Chinese New Year.

I'm betting that it could go to $50K-$60K at the end of the year. Remember that we still have the Lightning Network factor, if this is implemented in the next quarter then expect bitcoin to reach another all time high.

$50k is not impossible but it would take time. Somehow in Q1 of 2019, i dont see it coming because there would be some correction thats about to happen in the future. MAybe we will enjoy $20k for the start if 2019 and $50k for the nest 3-5 years.

I think the main reason was the investor dumping their bitcoin which cause the price of bitcoin goes low.But right now the price of bitcoin where goes up and maybe the investors started to buy bitcoin after holidays.For me we should give our fall support for bitcoin to push the higher value of it.

That is possible if other people will still believe in Bitcoin. We cannot still predict what will happen in the future because of so many factors that might affect the price of Bitcoin like banning Bitcoin in some countries and many people specially whales might withdraw their invesments.  However, I really like your speculations as it was already happened last 2017 so there's a possibility to repeat its history for the highest price ever. Nothing like this happened really and im happy about it because I dont wanted to loose my funds really. Lolz. The effect which you speculated here already happened back in January month and the more closer we moved the graph started pushing itself upwards because people were thinking that it will pump hard after the Chinese new year and that is what really happened in the first place. The bitcoin price jumped high and in the process it attracted many new investors thus making the great spikes for it. Now as the bitcoin is hoarding around 10K rates im sure it has passed the test of resistance and is ready to grow further too. :-)

20k is not the benchmark for this year and I think bitcoin is going to touch  $50,000 this year. We can see how the momentum is rising and the paraborical Sar has shown strong bullish trend on the weekly chart. Three to four years to come bitcoin is going to be above  $500,000 if the current upward movement is sustained. We should see this year as the best year in the history of bitcoin and we would see just that.

I’m not really sure of that. But why do you guys always worry about China and all other similar stuffs, I thought China is already out from Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin? If I’m right, then that means that whatever they do will be having  no effect on Bitcoin's price rate (cause they are out).

And one thing I have noticed in Bitcoin, seems like price do fall around end of the year, so I’m guessing maybe investors are taking a break? Cause same thing happened in 2016 and also happened after 2017. As of this 2018, I believe the price will go as high as $20K or $30K.

A lot of trials may happen along the road of bitcoin as we move forward to the highest level of value.
