bitcoin is always a good choice for a long-term investment and altcoin will be good for short-term investment. and this is why many people buy altcoin because they see that with altcoin, they can make a profit which is transformed to bitcoin for a long-term investment. and there are too many altcoins that we can choose and we need to search which altcoin that will give a big profit in the short-term. although bitcoin can also increase in the short-term but after the bitcoin price is increased, it will make the correction price which we know that sometimes, the price can get down too deep.

In my opinion, both short term and long term trading in Bitcoin and altcoin is good provided you use cool mind and make wise moves in the market according to the market condition. I prefer long term trading or investment because long term thing keeps you away from worries about the little fluctuations in the market prices. Short term is also good as it gives you incremental part of the rise in the values of the coins you trade in.

if you have a large enough capital it would be nice if you want to trade long-term for investments in Bitcoin or Ethereum alone, because two coins that have growth potential will rise higher in price and will be able to generate substantial profits later.
for short-term trading is better on altcoin which is cheap and has good prospects, i think like ADA coins, waves, BTG and coins are again good ZIL suitable for daily trading

I will vary from your thought. Bitcoin is already valued in 4-5 digits so it is hard to make short term profits with it as value may not tend to turn up/down for more than 5-10% in a week. For short term, alts are best and among alts also you need to pick right one. Remme is best no matter you investing for short or long term. Maybe in my opinion bitcoin is very favourable if used for long term. Don't agree with you regarding Robotina. It is project only for long term investment, they work on reducing electric energy consumption, before using their technologies it will be a long time.

For me long term would have to be bitcoin, ethereum, XEM, Siacoin and Stratis. Short term would have to be mostly the newly created coins or maybe those that are still on ICO. No preferrence because I barely keep coins for long term, most of them are for long term trading.
