When it comes to that of making a choice in between long term and short-term investment of money, then the only thing which can help you in making the right decision is if, you are this much prepared to take this much risk that you can go for day trading or not. If you can’t take this much of the risk, then it is better to go for long term holding of the crypto coins like bitcoin etc.

If this is about long hold and short hold, the best coin i suggest for doing a long hold is bitcoin or eth since they have a stable product so even the price drops you are sure that price willcget back. For short hold, this is best for altcoins which price are low so you your profit will depend on the numbers.

I have been doing a research on the crypto currency for some time now and the profit around a short term and long term trading. Also the way of evaluating a coin best for investment is necessary and I have come to know that Bitcoin and ETH is the two crypto that can be proved profitable in long run. OP was talking about long-term vs short-term in trading cryptocurrency, he doesn't even talk about which is good to be the long-term investment.

The correct answer should be the altcoin because bitcoin, ethereum and any other major currency look so difficult to gain a lot of increase in its price instantly. in various aspects and altcoin becomes the only best choice for that. Imagine you need a week to see it's gaining more than 50% and more than a year for majorcoin.

Looking at the value of Btc now, it will be a good for long term investment. This depends on your plans. If you want to go for short term investment, better go with alt. On the other hand, if you are planning to invest in long term, Bitcoin is the coin you should choose. The history tells everything. You can have handsome money in the end of the year or another. Bitcoin and altcoin are both good for long term and short term  it will depends to the flow in the market if it will good price or not. If you the market is not ok you need to hold it and wait until market will be alright.

for bitcoin, I think long term or short, it will still be profitable as long as it keeps monitoring the price movement. profits will come from buy and sell margins (buy when prices fall, and sell when prices go up).

I personally think I prefer long term because with bitcoin you can get a good profit because at this time that I see altcoin and bitcoin prices still have not risen and the market is still not stable and still up and down so from that I prefer long term and wait BTC and Altcoin prices go up again

I have not BTC only. I hold some altcoins. For example Cardano ADA. Or Enigma. Now I have some DACC because I think with such support project can be great. And have a good idea about copyrights. For this blockchain is good. And I think some alts will live quite long. Not BTC only.

I think the best for now is to keep the bitcoin and altcoin you have for the long term because in the long run you can avoid falling prices and you can get a lot of profit. whereas if you are trading daily like it should have a special skill.

For me I normally do both of them in any coin, what i normally do is that when the coin makes some great profit, I will take some profit for the short term and hold the remaining tokens for the long term, doing it that way, will make me to gain in case market go either ways
