There has been a lot of talk about crypto addictions and depression, sometimes resulting in suicide. Do you think it would be a good idea to create a forum for such kind of help or advice, where people can voice their fears or just be heard and supported.
Anything can be a source of addiction and depression. Both can actually occur in a single situation. Naturally, they are extreme emotions that are commonly tied up with each other.

The idea of a forum about health is interesting. Proudly, I'm in a field of medicine and glad that someone in such forum as this is concerned about those kind of cases.
Initiation is good. Also hoping about technological advancement related to health services.

That's good ideas but for right now we have the forum of digital currencies and the people can tell their feeling on here about the result of investment in digital coins, on bitcointalk we can share about our experience, suggesting of investment, tips and tricks to be sucessfull in digital coins, this forum is enough for us to tell our voice of fears and the other users will helps for the solutions.

Indeed. This is a digital forum and proposing something about such topics will only bring more spam threads. Advises are enough. Forum is pro freedom of speech but constructiveness and information is needed to provide quality to the forum to prolong it's services too.

when it comes to money depression and addiction are not far off. people getting loans to put in crypto need to be helped. its really dangerous and i can imagion you go into a depression when you got a loan when btc was at 20K. these people need to be helped in any way possible but they are getting themself in trouble by doing this. don't invest more then you can lose is still my number 1 rule

Checking your profile every five minutes is not good, but many do so, especially when the market is in the red zone. This is an integral part of the trade.

if you cross your limits to invest in crypto then it will result in depression ,
if you invest right amount and diversify your investment then it is best decision .

and on suicide - notice some people who takes loan just for investment in crypto , this is stupidity .

bro if anyone thinks of suiciding and wants to invest in crypto at the same time, then, its not his cup of tea.

Should stay away from crypto. Massive dips occur atleast twice a year, so Its gonna mock him a lot!

It seems to me that this is a good idea.
But this problem is solved very simply-invest money that you are not afraid to lose. And the mood will always be excellent! Wink

Being addicted to anything is not healthy.  Resist the urge to check the value of bitcoin every hours.  Think long term investment.  Gain is more profitable if you hold and wait.  Plus it's good for your health.

Every people have their addiction in every things. I think that there will some isolated cases especially for those people who invested all their assets and lose them. Ofcourse you will get depressed if thats will happen. So better think thrice before putting all the egg in one basket.

Despite you told there has been "lot of" talks about addiction, I may tell you - there were not. Everything can turn into addiction so cryptocurrency also. There is no need in creating some new helping tool - that kind of "crypto junkies" can go to basic center that provides help for Forex and other kind of traders that can't stop trading

I think such people should not even consider themselves getting enrolled into the crypto if they are not going to handle the depression that is coming out of it. Also what kind of depression they are getting from it? They getting ruined because they are not able to make money or something similar? Then I am sure they should quit everything and do the normal stuff. I mean as far as in know if someone is addicted to drugs and bad things then they will surely get treated by taking them away from those stuff. So its just that simple, get away from the crypto world. Why do they even need completely new forum, that is just not good a idea.

For me addiction in crypto is normal if you seeing your money growing by investing it on some crypto currency,  like me i want to earn more crypto tokens and coins by joining or participating on some bounty campaigns,  i will considered my self as crypto addict, and depression exist when investors lost all his/her money by investing in on a scam ICO projects or wrong coins, and that depression can cause of death.

Anything that overpowers over mind will become addiction in no time, and things like greed, hope to earn more become rich in no time will only make you addictive to crypto nothing else. I have seen many people who left their regular jobs and started crypto as business in some sort of way to earn more. Money is very inflectional in one's life and it will become addiction and with that addiction you are definitely getting free depression if you face any loss or number of loss.

I heard much news about the effect of BTC especially to investors/traders/holders who get depressions and what worse ended up killing themselves because they lost a lot of money in the digital currency market. I agree with you, we need the help of experienced traders to create a community so people will guide along its way to avoid this kind of problem in the future. As a newbie, we should be responsible for our actions and we must do some research about the pros and cons before engaging in cryptocurrency market.

In fact, one thing people need to know is that long-term holding is the best way to make money.
The way to make money in cryptocurrency markets is to overcome fear.

if such cases have already occurred, then need to create support groups.  In general, one must understand that investing in crypto-currencies is a risk that often justifies itself

The important thing to remember is that once your money is invested, treat it as though it is already lost. Like gambling, once you put your money in it is gone, and if you get it back you have been lucky. With that mentality you should not invest more than you want to lose completely.
I can understand people may get depressed in this game when the market takes a dip but if they were sensible about their investment and didn't invest emotionally or out of desperation, then they would not be in that situation.

yes A Forum to discuss such issues will be of help not only those who are going through the situation, but also those when are yet to make important investment decisions. Most don't take the loss of their investments very well and are unable to deal with it properly resulting in tragic endings such as suicide, the forum should focus on stress and depression management and at least talk about how to avoid repeat of what lead to the loss

The problem that some people actually have is not addiction; it is just that they have used their own hands to put themselves in a depressive state of mind which obviously would always tell on their reactions and decision to that particular thing.

Someone who understands the market before investing will be checking only to know what is up with the market without any panic or emotions, which is one thing someone who does not understand the market, got greedy at some point, will always have a problem with and it is obviously not addiction. They just wish they never invested in the market because of their losses and that makes them screwing up everything at the end anyway.

If you have already entered in this field of crypto, inevitably there will be a big risk and should be skipped. If it can overcome this certainly can be very lucrative, and only the large patient minded individuals will survive.

Investing into cryptocurrency is an investment and the last time I checked, if you get addicted into investing in something good as long as you are smart about your investment, then it is a good addiction which I would not classify as an addiction anyway.

There is no addiction in cryptocurrency even if I am checking the price few times in a day or week, but your intention of checking is what makes it what it is. Some people are already emotional based on bad investments and that is the reason why they check the price every single time, but that is more like a depression than an addiction.
