I think that ripple generally need to be removed from the list of cryptocurrencies. It's just a centralized technology that bankers try to impose on us, under the guise of cryptocurrency.

In my opinion. In the current market I do not believe in a great success for Ripple because it is centralized that can even influence and what really is bad in this currency is that it is practically in the hands of large institutions and big investors who have the power to manipulate prices in a way that they understand. Horrible that sensation of dependency.

Yea after reading a bunch of what people are saying about it that is my general understanding as well I'm at a position now OK I'm invested already this ripple may take off though and I wanna be on the winning side. But the question is WHEN do I dump these shitcoins and take my profit hahaha??

With all the talks about the centralization of Ripple, most of them are likely speculators of the prices of cryptocurrencies.
Do they even care about the technology behind it? No. Might just heard: this is centralized it's no good, that was decentralized it was good.
Now they are replying with "Ripple is centralized" blah blah blah.

Ripple was made with the visions of being used by banks, then why is everyone complaining about ripple being used by them?
As a person, anyone can hodl, mine and trade ripple. Making it the same as every Digital Currency in existence.
Even Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are subjected in some "centralized" issues.
If you want a fully decentralized-mannered coin, expect it to be hidden in the black market or will not make it to the mainstream public, otherwise, those types are more likely scam tokens.

I don't watch the Ripple, because the Ripple is centralized, and the basic requirement of encryption currency and the bitcoin is decentralization, so I don't watch the Ripple, there may be a very good even if Ripple gains.

Ripple is not a bad and corrupted coin. Its price is very low, but in the coming time it will go up too much if you have some extra capital then buy it and hold it.

Ripple has already mooned so it won't go up much further, good for the bankers that created this coin but not for those sad investors that bought at $2. It is a centralised coin that banks will not touch as it is too unstable. Just another way of bankers taking money from poor suckers that should be investing in proper coins.

RIPPLE is not a cryptocurrency because it oppose the decentralization goal of the cryptocurrencies,it is created by tha bankers which holds the structural banking system inside XRP's system.I do not trust the bankers that is why i choose to invest in cryptocurrencies,it is not about the money its a bout the freedom that we get using cryptocurrencies,XRP shouldnt be called as a cryptocurrencies you should do a lot of research.

Because bankers are the reason why satoshi nakamoto decided to create bitcoin, banking system of these banks has corrupted our lives for years and know that the blockchain technology can remove the centralization, these banks shouldnt be trusted by anyone, because we have much more freedom without them, decentralization can change every system in the world.

Despite the centralization of the ripple and the relationship with the banks, I consider the ripple a very interesting and promising coin. Even if the ripple depends on banks, I think in the near future this is a good investment.

People hate XRP because the its structure is from the banking system,XRP is being backuped by the central bank that is why most of the crypto enthusiast doesnt support this coin, and it shouldnt be called as a cryptocurrency because cryptocurrencies should be decentralized that XRP doesnt possess that is why i personally dont support this banker's coin because it could destroy our community in the future.

Beacause of the following:

All XRP has done is marketing

a) As of this day I know of no banks that are using it

b) Ripple’s approach with XRP has been to get it listed on a bunch of exchanges and ‘infer’ but never explicitly say that banks are using it for settlement.

RIPPLE is not a cryptocurrency because it oppose the decentralization goal of the cryptocurrencies. Its mooning bcz

1) Fiat gateway

2) Noobs

I wont touch it. There are enough mindblowing tech available that needs my money.

It is not a question if but when it will collapse and shaking the whole crypto world, (Banks intention). The amount if unsold coins is just enormous.

The supply disparity is getting worse with every passing day as can be seen on last years data. Falling further and further behind until the planed collapse to massively damage crypto. Real crypto is resilient, only irresponsible gambles will depart.

Ripples CEO has already sad XRP can go to zero. Alarm bells are ringing.

Voting options on best XRP features.

Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

Many people are seeing Ripple as banks Trojan horse in crypto world. I don't think Rippple is the devil as many can say. I invested in Ripple and I think it is good opportunity for everyone.

The coin is contradictory. And in general, it is not a cryptocurrency. But that did not stop me from buying it and making a profit.

So I invested in ripple a while ago before I really knew exactly what it was (I was just diversifying my portfolio) but after reading a bunch of stuff about ripple on the net about it being centralized and how they can hold your money etc. etc. It makes me want to sell all my ripple (For a good price of course). But I'm also thinking only believe half of what you read on the internet and these people could just be talking BS etc etc.

SO the point of me making this thread is basically starting a convo for all the reasons why ripple is a bad thing (borderline evil) at least that is how I see it right now. So if we can have a discussion about all the things that are good/bad about ripple I would love to hear everyone's feedback?

Thanks

Ripple - was and will be a bank coin. He will not disappear anywhere, it is followed by major players and banks. I expect more correction and after i will enter. For me personally this is a more speculative asset. One half of the year ripple dumped and after dump, it shows us a big grows in 2-3 weeks. I think u can make good money with ripple but not hold it for years.

Ripple is not a bad coin, but it seems bad because of not being de-centralized. It is fast and has a good functionality for financial world. Lately, Saudi Arabia's Central Bank announced a blockchain deal with Ripple. So, XRP seems to start spreading all around the world. I think it will be a valuable coin very soon.

Maybe, Ripple is really not bad coin and idea is quite well. But I cannot see real chance to get some profit if I decide to invest in it. The growth of price almost equals to zero
