ItalyCoin arises mainly for the Italian market, but the mining can be done also by numerous foreign citizens.
The staff of ItalyCoin points to the spread of alternative currencies in Italy, encouraging the use of alternative currencies on web shop, various websites and blogs.
The comunity ItalyCoin is growing all the staff is also committed to the spread of the currency.
The project is open to all remembering that the currency was mainly designed for the Italian market, although nobody forbids to use it abroad.

ItalyCoin is based on LiteCoin:

LiteCoin is the lite version of Bitcoin that uses scrypt as the working algorithm.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

past 13 minutes have seen 470 blocks generated, diff on 0.006.  

Wont your coin die on the next retarget    Huh

I guess it's 4x up max, so won't get stuck yet Wink
I'm sure a hardfork will be needed after diff is >8
But it's done before...

Still got 69,444.44 years to mine this coin, so no need to hurry.
