Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

its getting stripmined past 13 minutes have seen 470 blocks generated, diff on 0.006. Wont your coin die on the next retarget I guess it's 4x up max, so won't get stuck yet I'm sure a hardfork will be needed after diff is >8 But it's done before... Still got 69,444.44 years to mine this coin, so no need to hurry. |
