Its a big NO for me now that I saw that the transaction fees of bitcoin has gone way down and not as high as it is last year. Probably some didn't see that but I saw it because I transferred some of my bitcoin in an exchange account and the fees are around 4 digit only. If you are saying ETH will beat BTC this year, I don't see this is happening and once Lightning Network will be implemented Bitcoin will be use more in transactions because of faster tx speed and lower fees. so I will say NO for this.

I doubt it will happen. We have to commend Ethereum though, it have tripled its price in a short period of time. Maybe it can tripple the current price again until the end of the year, but I think the is the most it can get. Alt-coin is still heavily affected by the price of bitcoin. When bitcoin is down, so is the alts. So it is hard to think that ethereum will surpass bitcoin, at least not this year.

Never is my answer,because ethereum availability is unlimited but bitcoin availability is limited to 21 Million,since the price of crypto currencies are based on the supply and demand of that coin so ethereum can never can have the demand as bitcoin has.

Honestly I don't think Ethereum will beat Bitcoin within this year however it is very possible one day it might beat Bitcoin in the future. We still can't tell when but for sure there will come a time Bitcoin will be overlapped with Ethereum.

I do think that the probability is strong but.. you know the only reason is that Bitcoins is not evolving fast enough but people are finding ways in the system to correct this.
Like adoption of segWit address is a beginning.
This shows that it has strong support of the people who are in this cryptocurrency world.
Thus I do feel that it will be able to evolve and pass all the barriers.

Based on the status of bitcoin as of today, its value was low and i think bitcoin have a hard time to recover. So i think if bitcoin will crash deeper and it will stay for a long time on that value. Maybe its possible to ethereum to replace the position of the king of crypto currency

Good question but I don't think it will happen. I think for a long time it's not possible. Within certain period of time bitcoin price will be raising to high & it creates a big difference between this two currency. So my answer is no hope & possibility there.

Well we can't close the possibility of that happening in the years to come. But as what we can see in the data given and in its market cap, we can observe that ethereum will still need a lot of years before overtaking the throne of bitcoin as the top currency in the cryptocurrency world.

ETH can never withstand the BTC even though the bitcoin price has dropped by 50% than today's price because more users and bitcoin investors than those who invest in ethereum so any ethereum can not overdo it bitcoin especially today has been increasing its prey.

I think this could happen in the future. Because, based on statistics, ETH also has significant growth in service, quality and security by 2017, especially in January this year, reaching $ 1,000 and I believe that with the positive from their team. the ETH value will not stop there.

It could happen, although I think that it doesn't mean anything, as Bitcoin is a crypto currency and Ethereum a platform. Also both coins have competitors with better technology, I don't think that means anything either. The market trend have showed that the biggest coins are the one's with the most trust and thus being the one's with the longest history, a lot of people forget that.

Don't know, it's easier to improve eth than btc but I guess that holds true with it being easier to screw up. I think eth has great potential but when the delopenent team stated it's not 100% safe it does make u wonder. Eth has had a few glitches that didn't effect the price. Baring any security issues or a major crypto crash I could see eth at 3,000 to 4,000 this year during a pump
