I think ethereum can not beat bitcoin, especially in 2018. Bitcoin will still be the best and be the top choice.

No I don’t think it is happening. As long as Bitcoin is still here and it is still progressing it will remain the top coin, so if there will be rumors about Bitcoin dissloving then that would be the time I would agree Ethereum beating Bitcoin.

I respect your opinion but as we can see the value of BTC and ETH is not that far maybe this year ETH will surpass it.

many coins are racing to develop their respective technologies but I think that's impossible, like eth although its smartcontract technology is very good it can not be used as a benchmark to offset bitcoin, I do not think anyone can beat bitcoin.

This is a question we keep hearing since ethereum took over alt coin market . Ethereum is one of a kind and it’s more than a random alt coin. It’s base for most of new comer alt coins. It grew a lot last year and that increased the expectations. People naturally thought it’s gonna rich even better numbers this year. I think it will be very good after this crash ends but i don’t think it will be enough to beat bitcoin.

The fact is that ethereum can not beat bitcoin because the bitcoin market is used by many people, where long-term investment is safe and considered a valuable asset. Bitcoin is still here and it is still evolving it will still be the top coin.

ETH has the chance to take over bitcoin someday, not just eth but mostly every other alts as well. ETH is always next in line when it comes to crypto and transaction is easier with eth. I think eth will have much more chances if demand will increase by having more exchange to cash in most country just like btc.

Bitcoin is the mother of all cryptocurrency, the familiarity, potential and demand is always high for it.

Ethereum is the king of altcoins and has good potential over all the all altcoins, the potential, market cap and demand is good compared to any other altcoins.
