If you posted, “I have 0.5 extra btc that I’m willing to lose.” Then I would help you find somewhere to gamble it and maybe become a lucky winner. Any “investment” has the potential to take all of your btc away.

A sound investment for someone without much money is to hold what you have and add any extra fiat to that slowly as you earn it through a regular job. Take all the money that you would rot your teeth with every month (buying sweets and soft drinks) and add that to your btc holdings. Pick a thing that you spend money on every month that you don’t really need and buy bitcoin instead (I suggest dumping your girlfriend, you wouldn’t believe how much money you can save with that one alone). Bitcoin has the potential to increase by 100%, 200%, 300% or more in a short time. That’s the least risky investment you will find around here.

Where to invest?
Any ICO
Yeah, I am sure there is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=240.0
If you have 0.5 BTC and you want to invest in ICO, you can select it in altcoin section of this forum. Some people say ICO is very risky of fraud, so you should be careful to take it. My suggestion you invest 0.5 into the ICO Ricona, because I think Ricona ico is very good
Listen to this guy. He is suggesting you to invest money because he thinks it is good.  Roll Eyes Oh, he is wearing ricona signature, makes sense why he think it is good.
Please don't listen to anyone, do deep research before you invest in anything.

Only keeping od this money will bring you fast and big profit. Bitcoin costs around 11k$ today and I am pretty sure that in a month or maximum two we all will celebrate new price's record. I suppose any other project will not bring you such collosal profit as simple holding.

Half a bitcoin eh? It would be risky if you invest all of it my friend.IMO,i think it is good to save the half of it and the other half for investing, just choose a good ico though and a promising one. There are ICO's that is scam,so be picky.Another thing you posted in a wrong place i think,if youre looking for some ICO's then the alternative section is the best place to ask for it.

0.5 BTC is a fair amount to start with, if I were you I would invest in mining equipment with high ROI. Get yourself a new ASIC miner at as close to market rate as possible, and mining the most profitable coins. There are pools that automatically switch to the most profitable coin. Just be careful, and don't get too greedy by mining moonshot coins continuously.

I'll suggest you to just hold it since its market value is now starting to increase. Also you may consider investing more to it so that as it go along with the increase, huge profit will be earned once its market price fully recovered or simply, as its msrket price is increasing. Trading is a bit more risky compared to investing based on my experiences so for me, investing and holding is more advisable.

I think you should invest in Ripple and Ethereum. I know Ripple is a over rated coin which is not even decentralized but has a high potential to grow. Both the altcoins has a potential to rise so do invest in them as they both will help you to increase your profit.

Right now I would keep them nice and quite, just like they are. If you check coinmarketcap, and match all those coins to bitcoin (you can do that by changing the currency display to BTC from USD), you will see that bitcoin is leading the way in this recovery. Most other coins are on the red, when compared to bitcoin, so right now you would be losing money. I would wait for BTC to stop it's bounce attempt, and start consolidating on the daily time frame. That would probably be the right time to change to another coin. I would recommend ethereum, since it was quite strong before the last dip, and is lagging right now, compared to BTC. So I think it will have a nice run, once BTC stabilizes.

For me, the best ICO this year is Fusion. The ICO went smoothly unlike many other icos this year. Also they reached their hardcap within just a day. Moreover, the idea is very good the team is solid as well . I expect at least a 10x after the mainnet launch in May this year.

Invest to Bitcoin more. I won't suggest trading at this moment because the msrket is still on its way of recovery. I think it is more advisable to hold that amount and to add more in order to esrn profit as its market value is increasing. Hold and patiently wait until it fully recovered from the downfall.

Find for an ICO that fits your ideal. It is good that you are interested in investing it in ICO because there are quite good projects out there, but I think it 's better if you hold your coin for now, and invest more in bitcoin while the price is still low. Right after the chinese new year, the price started to increase slowly so after some months, it is difficult to buy bitcoin again because of its high price. Anyway, it was just my opinion,if you are really into ICOs, then you could research for it,just always beware of the scammers.

Whatever investment you want to do, don't not buy coins with them all. Split and keep a part in your wallet. Hodling is also an investment because of potential.
You can buy some coins then, like etheruem, litecoin, dash and waves.

Buying into ico sometimes doesn't pay. It is stressful and delays to start monitoring the progress as it is going. I would prefer to wait till in hits the exchange.

Maybe it will benefit you to research in coinexchang e instead of trying to buy in ico because of its challenges.
