coinmarketcap.com I still believe the truth,CMC retrieve price list of coin data with average value,so the conclusion is not the same as the number in the CMC,in every market there must be a difference between less and more value of the coin

Pay attention, we talk about https://coinmarketcal.com/, not https://coinmarketcap.com/.
As for me, I think we can find approximate information about important upcoming events - isn't that good? Besides, community are involved in assessment this events.

This is a good thought. The key word is approximate. It's not a secret for everyone that information placed there could be inaccurate or incorrect so everybody needs to check it twice (or even more) before doing smth based on it.

I think it's a very good and useful site. I do not think it's scam. It may only be some erroneous data.

It is kind of sketchy in my opinion.first, why would the site be using a name similar to coin market cap which every one knows. That is kind of phishy in my opinion. There are a lot of information pouring into the cryptosphere and from different sources.A lot of them are scammy or incorrect. If you intend to make an investment decision based on information from coinmarketcal, proceed with caution and always cross-check with other more reliable sources.

This makes no sense.
CoinMarketCal is a fantastic place, was so happy to have found it.
Users can manipulate data on the site, but that happens everywhere in crypto, I'm so used to it by now that I spot it immediately Smiley

The main source of this side are users. That makes it so powerful but it can also be manipulated.

If you use it right and dyor before acting - alway the same in crypto -, this is a very powerful tool to get market events.

Hey guys,

I'm Anthony, founder of CoinMarketCal. Some asked the question but there is nothing fishy with the name, we are named CoinMarketCal because we want to be the tool that complements CoinMarketCap.

To answer your concern, here is how the system works:

1) A user submits an event
2) If needed, our team deletes the event
3) If needed, our team edits the event so it looks as professional as possible

Some of the rules: It needs to be unique, from official sources, dated and basically scam-free (photoshopped proofs and fake airdrops are good examples)

You were referencing the XCP event and the fact that they didn't deliver anything. I didn't follow the story but if it's true then I'm sorry to hear this. Please be aware that we cannot control the devs' actions. Just so you know, the event seemed legit for a huge majority of the crypto community (as seen by the votes and Twitter).

A few months ago we added a Report/Edit link so people can quickly contact us if they are aware of a scam. The link is just under the filter on the homepage.

Even though we are trying our best to get rid of scams and fake news, please do your own research.

Hope it helps!

@crypto_flair. It appears someone made trading decisions using some information that didn't happen, now they're blaming you hehehe.

It is not the site's fault that some information are inaccurate. They already know the people who submit them are also the users themselves, so you do not need to worry. All the risk taken will be up to them. So if they lose money, it's their fault, not yours.

Also, this is the cryptospace. Big announcements get cancelled or postponed all the time.

I don't think that coinmarketcal is a scam. But if you see any informations or events just make your own research again.
Here is another link which is similar to coinmarketcal -> www.coincalendar.info

Guys, large media are sold for a lot of money and make "corrupt" articles. It's no surprise that sites can corrupt data for their manipulations in the marketplace

Just imitate from coinmarketcap, whatever it is do not believe it.
it's hard to get the truth, unless it's already getting the news that can be trusted.

Of course, much of this information is not true or rumors.

I think this is not a scam website because everything should not perfect in the world. You only avoid these kind of website. Already coinmarketcap and coinmarket app is available in the market so you try this kind of sites. These are the best websites in crypto platform. But I don't know coinmarketcal.com because I am always trust coinmarketcap. Just ignore these kind of new sites.
