I am thinking of buying one of hardwallets:
- trezor or;
- ledger nano s.

I like ledger more due its cool design, but my concern is about its durability. Trezor looks more durable.
I would appreciate any of your comments and past experience.
If you own any of these wallets, please write what time do you own it and what is your experience with it.

Hands down the Ledger Nano S. More affordable, better transportability and all in all - in my opinion at least - better usability. But just look at some reviews on YouTube and get familiar with the interface, the software they offer and more.

I haven't use trezor... What can I say about Ledger. I suppose you want to know it's drawbacks. As for me it has a few memory. I'd like to have more different wallets installed on my ledger. But if you look for device for storing not so big amount of different coins it would fit perfectly.

Ledger nano s for sure much more affordable, you can store multiple coins on same device, and support forks of btc. One issue I got with ledger nano s is that the code is not open source so there might unknown exploits, or shady stuff going on by the manufacturer and we will never know.

I prefer choosing nano s ledger, with ledger nano, our bitcoin will be safer from hacker crime, and can also be taken wherever we go.

the price is quite expensive, 68-70 USD. but proportional to its safety

Thank you all guys for your experience. I went through all your replies. Ledger nano seams to be the most usable by those who left coments in this thread.
I think I will choose ledger nano S. The only thing is that I will have to wait 5th of march ((

I asked the same question a month ago. After reading a number of comments, I have decided to buy Trezor.
And now I am a pleased owner:)
First of all, it seems really secure. You have to create 6-numbers password and write them manually for all transactions. Also you get 24 seed words. What is more, you get 6 different addresses for your currency:
One of them for BTC, second - BCH,...6th for ETH and all Erc-20 tokens. As for me it is safe.

But it is worth the wait. And that's only a 2 week wait so that should be fine. Please make sure to buy it directly from Ledger. There have been scams lately with fake instructions from third party sellers. So be wary!

I am using ladger nano s, and I am very happy with it. I have never used trezor, but I don't think I will any time soon. Ladger nano S is secure and affordable. What more can you ask for?

I just wanted to hear some information about these two wallets in order to make the right decision. But Ledger nano s is currently the leader among replies, so I will buy Ledger.

true advice , always buy any hardware wallet direct from source / original website .
even if anyone give you it for free then dont store your holdings in it .
many scams exposed in past where people bought it from trusted online e-com sites .

I can't talk about ledger but I have a Trezor and I am very happy about it. I know it is a little bit more expensive, but I am very happy with my choice.

Trezor is having new model named Model T. If you can I would wait for that one. For sure not buy old trezor. Ledger Nano S is cheaper and at this point suport way more coins. So if you are hurry I think that should be your choice.

I have the Ledger Nano S and am overall happy with it, after the quick learning curve, it is fairly easy to use. You can connect it to MEW to hold all of your ERC20 tokens.

My only small issue with it is the amount of visible wallets that it can display. It only holds like 5 of them and while you can delete them and install new ones, this is a little inconvenient.

You just need to remember that you have coin X on your Ledger as that wallet will not be displayed. In order to view the wallet, you need to delete one wallet and load X back on there.

I prefer the Ledger Nano S over the Trezor because it supports more cryptocurrencies.  The only thing is, it is sold out from the manufacturer and the wait time is until mid March for delivery.  Avoid buying the Ledger from third party sellers such as those on Ebay or Amazon.

The question is do you want to have a compact device in your pocket?if yes ledgener would be the choice, trezor is bulky and it can give much more attention from the peolple whom you dont want to mess with, ledgner nano is a lot cheaper than trezor so it is also depends on your budget these two are the most commonly used hardwallets, trezor for me is better because it has been here for years unlike the ledger.

I personally prefer Ledger wallets to use, they are easy to use, safe and secure. A nice way to access decentralised exchanges and also a nice way to access MEW feeling safe and secure. I bought one instantly as soon as i started to receive a lot of ETH and ALTS from ICO's and do not regret it one bit.

Ledger has a great back up feature too so always feel secure in using it!
