My indicators upon choosing a good ICO is Team Transparency,Whitepaper,Community and the project since if the dev is hiding something especially with their identity then I must say they are shady and cannot be called a good ICO to be join/participate with. ICO investment is so risky that's why we need a clear research of it if we want to invest and earn with them.

I don't do a lot of time on research on spotting which ICO are better than the others.
All I do is to bump their Telegram Channels and check their social communities integrity.
Stay away from ICOs who have no telegram channels or telegram channels that have no of less active members and admins because I do believe good ICOs do have good social community reputation and there would be more discussions for related and non related with ICOs and projects.

I think these are good inputs in finding a good ICO project to invest. One should be dedicated enough to follow a certain ICO though to see if its really good. You should never forget who are the team behind the project and see if they really have an experience in the field. Finding some feedbacks from others is a good input too especially here in the forum.

I usually look at the Team and also how popular the ICO is in general, with the community and how much it is managing to raise in funds and also in awareness. I check Coinschedule and Bountyhive for the latest hot ICOS, plus of course I filter through the plethora of ICOS here on BTCTALK. I think also looking and comparing the ICOS on how they rank in some ICO monitoring sites is also a good way to get some idea on which ICOS might be successful in the future. Only time will tell of course as some under the radar projects might take off big time, well after their ICO has concluded.
