Yep.  Sad    And when I downloaded the 2.0.1 wallet and select restore and use the seed phrase from the online wallet....  at that point the windows gui wallet  does then contain the address that my online wallet had BUT balance shows zero despite syncing all day,  and my online balance should not have been zero (cryptoknight shows payments to that address)   Sad Sad Sad

Haven Protocol
untraceable payments x stable value storage

Haven has successfully hardforked to V2!

V2 Features:
  • Increased minimum ring size from 5 to 10 for increased privacy and anonymity
  • PoW algorithim changed from Cryptonight to Cryptonight Heavy which is ASIC resistant and not currently listed on nicehash
  • Updated to latest LWMA difficulty algorithim implementation to stop timewarp attacks and improve reliability of block timings
  • Support for subaddresses in GUI wallet
  • Various small performance improvements

Use https://github.com/IndeedMiners/xmr-aeon-stak/releases/tag/2.4.3 to mine for the new algorithm.

Introduction

Haven is an untraceable cryptocurrency that proposes a mix of standard market pricing and stable fiat value storage without an unsustainable peg or asset backing. It will achieve this by using a built in on-chain smart contract that controls the minting and burning of coins to facilitate value for users that choose to send their coins to offshore storage contracts while allowing everyone else to be exposed to the natural price movements of the currency.

Haven is a fork of Monero so inherits the stealth and anonymity that it’s famous for. Haven also has the benefit of starting the blockchain from scratch with RingCT for extra privacy. Further, Haven’s offshore storage smart contract allows privacy conscious individuals that want to keep their money in an untraceable currency without being subject to market fluctuations, a means to do so.

Offshore Storage

Haven doesn’t rely on a peg to maintain a relationship with fiat currency and can be traded at any value without affecting those who want to maintain the relationship. It does this via a built in smart contract called offshore storage. Sending Haven to offshore storage (burning) records a reference on the blockchain to the current fiat value which can be restored later back into Haven by minting new coins to the tune of the current fiat value.

The key use cases for offshore contracts are:

Point of sales systems where goods can be bought with Haven and shop keepers can immediately lock the fiat value in to protect from price fluctuations. This has the added benefit of keeping the shopkeepers business and income completely hidden on the blockchain as his wallet address nor amounts are revealed.

Storing large amount of money outside of the traditional banking system. Privacy focused cryptos are perfect for this but without a reliable way to maintain value through fluctuations the process of holding could be costly. Sending Haven offshore quite literally, makes money disappear until you want it back at which point the value remains intact.

In order for cryptocurrencies to be accepted into the mainstream, there must be a way to abstract the exchange risk associated with holding the currency relative to fiat. Once Haven is supported in point of sales systems and this process becomes automated, adoption will increase rapidly.

Offshore Storage contracts will be implemented once the network reaches a mature stage with enough exchange support to allow redundancy and accuracy of prices. The current focus is on growth, stability, privacy and usability for everyday transactions with an easy to use mobile wallet app that anyone can use without prior knowledge of crypto.

Supply & Emission

Total supply: 18,400,000 coins before tail emission and coins minted and burned via offshore storage.
Coin symbol: XHV

1 picohaven/havtoshi = 0.000000000001 XHV (10^-12 -smallest unit)
1 nanohaven = 0.000000001 XHV (10^-9)
1 microhaven = 0.000001 XHV (10^-6)
1 millihaven = 0.001 XHV (10^-3)
Hash algorithm: CryptoNight CryptoNight Heavy (Proof-Of-Work)
Block time: 120 seconds

Roadmap

Haven aims to be a cryptocurrency you can use in everyday life from buying coffee to buying houses. Our focuses this year are on:

  • Developing mobile wallets for IOS and Android with a focus on users with no previous knowledge of crypto payments.
  • Building a network of businesses that will integrate Haven into their point of sales systems and accept as a form of payment.
  • Once the network reaches maturity, release the offshore storage smart contract allowing stability of value in terms of fiat currency.

You won't see a balance until you are fully synced. If you are fully synced and still can't see your balance try clearing the cache by heading to settings page and clicking wallet creation height. Make sure its on 0 and then hit save.

Can somebody write down some AMD hashrates for Haven?
What algo does Haven use?

Haven Protocol currently uses Cryptonight Heavy for mining.
With my RX580 I'm getting 880H/s

Can you share your settings for RX 580 ? are 4 or 8gb model ? Here I have 8gb model to test only get 640 h/s

Maybe you did not switch on "compute" mode on the AMD settings.
Anyway here we go:
I have a few Gygabite Gaming RX580 8gb (hynix mem) with modded BIOS and i get from about 850 to 950hs
Settings:
Windows 10
Andreanalin drivers latest version, with "compute" mode on AMD settings
Cast miner
I set the overclocking with OverdriveTool
Gpu:1300,1050
Memory:2200,900
Power -20

I hope this help!

I know that  those who are lucky and have Samsung memory, can get past 1050hs easily....

The AMD card I'm currently using on XHV is a Sapphire Nitro+ 580 8GB.  Bought it used off of ebay, dont know if the guy before me has modded the BIOS, I havent looked at that yet.  Im using "cast_xmr-vega-win64_096" as the miner.  The miner recommends to use the Driver 18.3.4 and to set the Radeon settings to "compute" and then also use the "--forcecompute" argument in the command.   At that point I starting getting more than 800 H/s, it ranges as high at 1100 but Id say averages about 880 most of the time.  Only tweeking on the card I did was that I have MSI Afterburner OC'ing the memory to 2200 (core/ power/ everything else default).  As a side note, getting my system to use the 18.3.4 drivers has been damn tricky because the integrated R7 GPU in this A10 CPU wants 18.2.2 and that older driver kept over-writing the newly installed 18.3.4.  Finally had to just leave the integrated R7 GPU as a "basic microsoft display adapter" so it would stop Fing over the RX580 driver-wise.  I would have disabled the integrated R7 but I like leaving my HDMI cable on the integrated port and off of the card as in some of my rigs Ive noticed leaving an HDMI cable on a mining card periodically drags down your hash output.  Also once I forced that upgrade on the Radeon drivers then I could not open the Radeon settings on that point to switch to compute mode, kept getting an error that versions werent right.  So had to open the registry to force that compute mode.

Im starting to experiment with 2 1080TIs 11GBs.  Seem to get about 2KH/s total for both cards using "xmr-stak  2.4.5" as the miner.  It recommends running several "set GPU" commands right before running the miner and I have let it run for a few hours both running those commands first and then rebooting and doing it again without the commands.  So far for me the resultant hashes is about the same either way.

Hope that helps  Grin

Can anyone share how much time you need to mine 1 XHV and with what kind of setup? Would be interesting to see how profitable this is currently compared to ETH, ZEC etc.
