Bitminter Pool Worker Minimum difficulty??

Hi I don't understand the Bitminter Pool Worker Minimum difficulty. I am currently running 10355MH/s, so what minimum difficulty should I set it at? it is default setting at 1, but I read that it can go up to 20. So should I set mine as?

between 8 and 16, IMHO

Thanks for both of your advice, I have set it to 8 as the GH / 1.4 equation.
