The 4-5 hour reading requirement is in place so that people not verse in Bitcoin must do some reading on the subject on this forum. Otherwise, sans the wall, the place would be crawling with silly willy-nillies, hence why the wall was erected in the first place.
But, by being a Phriend of Phinn and donating bitcoins to Sean's Outpost, a noble cause, you would clearly demonstrate that you do have a more than rudimentary understanding of Bitcoin and shouldn't have to burden yourself with the grueling task of reading for 4-5 hours when you may only want to come here to interact a couple/few times on one subject/thread/issue.
In closing, either pay-to-play (humor, and for lack of a better term), or go to the Newbie Release Me Thread, of which it may take hours for one of the drunk mods (definitely humor!) to read your request, let alone act upon it.
Most the mods, sans the ones I got fired (not really, I don't think), like me, and should be able to recognize that anybody posting in this thread is worthy of being released from Newbie ASAP, hence not giving a rat's ass what theymos thinks (I don't think, but better include a smiley
NTL). But, if I were you, I would hedge my bet by going over to
