There are a lot of Filipino Facebook groups that scam newbies. I got wary of this issue because one of my friend got scammed because he joined a "pool" but after a lot of promises the one that "pooled" their coins just vanished in an instant.

Please my Filipino friends, beware of FB groups because most of the posts there will just make you lose money.

It is true that there are really a lot of Filipinos who gets involved with scamming.  Since there are no proper education, Filipinos usually believes on what they hear rather than searching for it or understanding first the platform. Therefore, some of them are taking advantage. I personally have left all the group that I've joined before because of this.

i saw a lot of people or groups in facebook trying to scam other people. promising a good profit and there are still many that are being fooled. it is sad that bitcoin will get negative image with this. scammer are creative and knowledgeable today and they just want easy money from other people.

Scammers are everywhere my friend, not just in the Filipino community. I might be wise if you post something on this local board : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=219.0 where most of the Philippines are hanging out.

On this forum, you will find that there are thousands of scammers hanging around, to see if they can scam people. This is not just limited to this forum, you can get scammed on the streets!

Absolutely, scammers are everywhere. This kind of people wants an easy way to earn an income. They will use or make you believe that they are legit. As an advise, make it sure or do a research for that group if that a legit or not before joining.

This is the most common mistakes of those newbies in any thing related to money not just with cryptocurrency, there are people that can be easily convinced because of the promise of high returns that those fake investment say. But the truth is we can't just trust our money to those people that we only met online because there is no guarantee that they will give your money back or your profit. If you know any groups that do this you can edit your thread and post it here so those beginners will not get victimized by this scams. The truth is no one will ever give you a huge profit without doing anything and every investment is a risk, so even they offer a legit investment program there is still a chance that you will lose your money. If you are a newbie you should just stick to holding Bitcoin because it is an investment itself.

Why join a group to double your money? Bitcoin doubles on its own and all you have to do is hodl.

There's a lot of people everywhere that are scamming, I'd be the first one to say that I think most of the bitcoin groups on Facebook are attempting to scam people and are probably doing a wonderful job at giving crypto a horrible name through this. I mean it's not new, scammers are going to target people on sites where they think the newbies are going to come from (Facebook ads, Instagram ads, etc)

Gives us all a bad rap here in crypto, would hope for people to change but I know the scammers won't.

Thats always the target of scammers, those newbie who doesnt have enough knowledge in crypto. Greedy people will never be fair, so its a must to be careful at all times especially when dealing online. Avoid joining MLM company investment , HYIP website and ponzi scheme because almost all of them are scam.

There's so many scammers in this world not only filipinos. We can avoid them, just be wise. Don't fall to their promising words. Review their account or project first before lending/investing your money.

Yeah,  many Filipino Facebook groups that are interested to scammed many bitcoin users but if you notice you can get easily rid of it if that facebook group is scammed. They usually getting their attention of the Filipinos and then they will get some information about their bitcoin, then instruct them about doing some things like put your php wallet then you will get some money but actually not. So for my fellow Filipino users,  beware with that scammers.

Scammers are scattered around the world so everyone should be very careful and do not trust to much to avoid being scammed put in mind that you should manage your personal investments and do not join any group that promise a bigger profit by investing your capital to their group. We need to evaluate and observe every transactions that we are going to do to avoid scams.

Every where we go we can find scammers. Beware of joining groups specially if who don't know anybody in that group. Nowadays it is very hard to trust someone specially that we don't see them. Many became victims of the promises of easy money so if a person would mail you saying to invest in this thing because it will double your money in just weeks, then it is 100% scam. Try to avoid that one.

I join a lot of Filipino Facebook Group not to scam because my purpose of joining them is to learn some information that can help me about crypto. Don't trust too much because not only filipino can scam it maybe your friends or someone you know. We are educated people so we must avoid people that you think a scammer.

I don't understand why you would join a Facebook group to learn about crypto. The information is all overmthe internet and wiki. Also this forum, although it's harder to find info here.

Th Philippines is a nation where people are starving with $1/hr wages. They are desperate for a way out, and so are the scammers. They'll scam the desperate.

Scammers are everywhere, on FB, Twitter, forums...
Any newbie can be one of their victims and any one investing his money should be careful and don't trust someone he does not know.
If you give your money to someone you knew through a FB page you will loose it and it will be impossible to get it back.

Evil doers and cheaters are very rampant nowadays. People tend to scam others in order to earn. They do it for a living. They do not pity their victims. To some of their victims it was hard earned money. Why they cannot play fair? Because they are lazy and their heart are full of evil.
