Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members

So I joined a signature campaign and they removed JR. Member bounties. Now I am having a problem on how to be a Member ranked. I just learned that I need 10 merits to have a member rank. So to any JR. Member here, let's do our best to make quality content so that someone will recognize our efforts in making our community better.

If anyone can provide a link to people giving merits after doing something good or productive please give link so I can earn merits not by asking people but because of my effort and for JR. Members to have a reference too.

You can't earn merits by asking for them anyway. There are also no special threads where you post high quality content and people give you merit for posting there. If you want to earn merit by posting high quality content, just start doing so, you don't need anything else. Hopefully your contributions will be recognized and people will start handing out merit to you.

I have seen sooo many high quality posts around here which deserves at least a few merits, but who gets nothing because no one is sharing. So don't expect it to be easy. But good luck, and hope you make it!

The moderators check out all the post daily...If they are eligible for a merit they will give..but without quality posts you cant get merit..and it is not only hard for you but for everyone..So make good quality posts,earn merit,~earn money.

Strange rule about this merit, anyway, it do have aa purpose thats why we have this merit, so we could not level up or ranked up that fast to avoiding also everyone to just ranked up because of spamming. Merits are also for those who did his great job at the campaign.

Are you crazy? You only need to get 10 merit to become a member, just 10 or 20 quality posts, that should not prove too difficult if you are here to learn a share.

While some may see it as too strict if you were to look at all the spam on the boards, by people that were JR members and mostly spamming due to sig campaigns it makes sense to see that they've enacted commonsense rules on the boards in order to weed these people out. This had to happen at some point, as this board was just a spam fest for cash.

We'll see if any changes will come from thymos, maybe at some point if they earn their stuff back.

please create new topic in section forum, mining, or meta
you must create constructive posts, provide up-to-date information about the mining world or your complaints about the merit system. the positive or negative side of the merit system.
there will be many account hero and legendary accounts that will give you merit, for your posts.

You and 99% of the forum has this problem. I just hope they will remove this requirement as it's very unnecessary. No one gives merit and no one gets merit..

Earning merits is definitly way too hard. I seldomly see posts which get any merit at all. So I think the community itself has to change, we need way more long lasting members on spending sprees to give lower ranks a chance to level up.

Of a true is  really hard to get a merit,but i  have just decide to work as much as i could and not bother about merit point  the so much,i believe i will be merited if the needs arise.

I, too, believe, that the current system merit not friendly for newcomers. Unfortunately, this is the fault of the users themselves, who have too much FLUD on the forum.

Any concern about the system or the forum should be posted to meta not here,this is bitcoin discussion.Since your still new,it's understandable but try to make it proper next time.
Majority of the new members also complains about it(which they shouldn't have),but they have no choice but  to follow the system and for the sake of the forum as well,Besides getting an amount of merit to get to a member rank is not that difficult if they have the perseverance and the eagerness to create and contribute good to the forum.Give time to the new system and to everyone's self a well.

I do not think that moderators check posted messages every day!I sent several complaints to the moderators about the violation of the rules of the message and after that nothing happened.That's why they introduced merit, so that we control each other ourselves)

Interestingly this is really an issue one has to be alarmed about. If one is to consider quality in a post, what criteria is used to determine the quality scale of a post. Maybe i will have to visit the thread that talked about merit again.
