I read while reading many threads here that a bitcointalk.org member lost $2,000,000 in Bitcoin.   Shocked
If this is from gambling then i think this is enough reason for that person to loss such bit amount

Thats why gambling must be controlled and never let your self getting involve with this as addiction because no person can allow himself to loss that $2,000,000 if he wasnt an gambling addict
Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

There are a lot of people losing money in this market, you know how to invest, know how to make money or you have 100 Bitcoins at 20K and just lose them all in some way. Both options are stupid ways to lose a lot of money.

Where you found out that thread or article?

If he bought that amount of bitcoin last December 2017 to January 2018 i'm sure he losses of its original value now because of bitcoin price fall this time but if he continue to hold his bitcoin and never sell i'm sure that it would be multiple times in the future.

I believe prices will go up. Loses will be recovered.

Now his loss must be $4,000,000 after Bitcoin came down to $6,000

if it's for gambling, I think that's common among those who have a lot of money. but, for us, of course $ 2000,000 is so great. well, of course there will be regret in the end, it is big money that can be made as capital for business development.

How he lost it?

You buy 1 Bitcoin for $15,000 and now Bitcoin is $9000, how much money did you lose ?? The price fell.
Cheesy FOMO is terrible thing. I never make move on ATH, never. And do not suggest for people to buy when coin on ATM, better to miss opportunity, when write stories like this Smiley

OMG .., it's in the forum members, there are many more on the outside who lost their bitcoin. if this continues the bitcoin price will continue to fall.
for individuals should prioritize the safety of their wallets so that this kind of disaster does not continue.

It's unclear how he lost his $2 million. You loose only if you cut your losses and sell Bitcoin,3 times cheaper. Which can mean only one thing. He invested $3 millions and sold for 1$ Million?

I would like to hear more about this accident. How did this happen? I think that most likely it is the fault of the person who neglected to protect his bitcoins negligently.

Actually I do not understand the information that you provide. You should write information or news with a more clear. Lost $ 2,000,000 bitcoin, it means because of what, should the news should be detailed. Whether it was to lose the bitcoin key, whether it was robbed, or whether it was hacked. Although the news is incomplete, I will only express my concern for the news. If bitcoin is robbed or hacked may the robber or bitcoin hacker be immediately known and accountable for his actions. If the bitcoin is lost hopefully soon comes the technology that can track the existence of bitcoin and irresponsible people who have stolen or hacked.

I can say that I am really in love with all those posts that are not having even a shadow of providing some proves, who lost when it was what was the reason, we know nothing from this post Smiley
