I think it can be but as an alternative or an option for the users but not to totally replace the existing fiat currencies because i believed that crypto can nevers supersede fiat as people in which majority are poor to middle class are already used to fiat as traditional money. I do not think it can replace real money. It should only be used as a remittance tool and should not be developed to a different degree.
We are used to using real money. Using electronic money to replace everything is complicated. Although the transfer is very fast but the market Crypto still carry too many negative factors to be able to stabilize the market and ensure safety.
