i think you should consider how much profit did you lost, if you lost more than 40$ of your profit then you should sell to cut loss, it wont have any value at all, you should hold until the price is pumped in the future, be patient and believe bitcoin will keep rising more, it still have a long future to survive in this crypto market.

I agree with you everybody should hold Bitcoin because bitcoin price will be $60K in this year 2018. so don't panic about this matter. now bitcoin price is some low but it will recover very soon.

For this time that the price is low maybe it is best to buy for more and then hold for bitcoins price will rise and hit to the moon in the nearest period of time. Bitcoins price is volatile and if this will rise it will rise and rise so better hold and buy if ever you have money for it.

I have been asking myself that same question for the past many months and the answer I always get is HODL! Maybe the best time to let go of our Bitcoin was when it reached its own zenith at almost $20,000. Right now, Bitcoin is struggling to hold on to the $10,000 level though the whole market is quite hopeful that soon it will be surging again big time. Let's just continue on having faith on Bitcoin.

Before you come to any conclusion take a book and and answer these questions to yourself:

1) What price did I buy it at.

2) Has my bitcoins price increased in value or am I at a loss.

3) If I don't sell it what's worst case scenario.

4) Do I need the funds now or I can wait for profits which shall come later.

5) What is my risk appetite in case of fluctuations.

6) What goals had I in my mind when I decided to purchase it.

7) If it goes zero ( This FYI will never happen but just a scenario)

I believe that we are in the last phase of correction process that took place just after the massive price rally in the last quarter of the last year so selling now doesn't make any sense from investor's point of view as I don't see any reason for Bitcoin to fall even further so in my opinion, I think it is either buy or hodl time considering short or super long term.

On a general note, it is better to hold and sell at intervals. But considering the current state of the market - which is a little bit bearish, it is advisable to sell if you have made some profit on your investment, but if the current market has gone against you, it is then advisable to Hold.

At the current value of bitcoin right now, it is better to hodl rather than selling because the value is too low. Better to wait for a better price rather than selling it without a good profit. There are some speculations that bitcoin will reach 20000$ again which already happened last year so we must not doubt again. Bitcoin won't fail us.
