Myetherwallet never send email or notification by email, if u received email just ignore it and never open mew it from the email link., 
You must bookmark link mew in your browser, or use metamask.

I don't believe the email comes from myetherwallet, it probably just pretends to be from them. So many phishing sites related to mew, everyone needs to be very vigilant!

Surely these airdrops are being used to shady businesses do not use your main email address when you are required to put an email within these airdrops because they will only send you spam and phishing links so you can be phished when you arent aware.You can avoid these by joining airdrops using your dummy email addresses so there wont be any problem,a lot of people will try to steal your precious investments that is why you need to be vigillant.

Myetherwallet may never send email to anyone because they never ask for our email when we register on it. So this may be send by scammers to steal your information and your money. Kindly never opened the this type of links to secure your wallet and holdings in it.

Beware from spam mails because Myetherwallet never send you email because they don't have your email id. Never open any email or link which you will get in email without confirming the source of sender.

Good thing you posted this because a lot of people lost their ethereum and tokens caused by phishing e-mails or websites i am too i received phising e-mail a person claiming that my myetherwallet was hacked but i don't have a MEW yet so i trolled him when i clicked the link redirecting to his phising page i filled all the blanks with "f*** you hacker" haha but i advise you to ignore all emails claiming the your wallet was etc etc.

First: Myetherwallet will never send you an email. And second Myetherwallet warn you to bookmark their real address and use it only from your bookmarks and never from email.

That surely a phishing site,mew doesnt send any emails from their users,also no airdrops should require your private keys if they require you to put an email you can use a dummy email so you wont get phished by these people.I know how these people works because i was once a victim by these phishing site,you can install metamask extension to protect your keys when you are transacting with dex or decentralized exchanges like etherdelta and forkdelta.

Good thing that you check and didn't click that phishing link, otherwise your MEW wallet will be in danger from hackers trying to steal our hard earn tokens from bounties or even airdrops.

And thanks for the warning, although I haven't received this kind of emails, I will be aware that such attempts have been used by hackers. Just bookmark MEW and keep your private key safe.

And I hope that everyone reading this should also be aware and be careful. Not just on our emails but around the web as well. Hackers are targeting us because of huge amount of money they can stole from everyone.

I also received such a letter.  I immediately send them to spam and do not open them.  But those who are interested in, and they pass by reference - money disappears from the wallet.  But only the person who at least once lost his money, he will treat his savings more accurately.

I have always this "Trust No One" phrase implanted in my brain which reacts involuntarily whenever things like this occurs. As a response, i do deep and thorough investigation as to the legibility of the said mail. It will just be ignored if i found out that it is suspicious leading to a shady activity.

Obviously a scam. It is best to be cautious opening uncertain and unauthorize links. I recently read that the team behind MEW splitted and several rumors about the hacking of MEW. I have not yet verified it and I resist to open MEW just in case it is buggy.

I have also experienced such, received email from MEW and because I used to never open any links that I often use from email or google address, at least I including those trying to avoid people who want to be naughty, I used to keep any links I use in bookmarks .
but after I observe and think about whether we ever create an mew with an email address? how they can find our email address, obviously it is a fraud.
