Typically it should be about 1.5x better than the previous series. For example GTX 1070 could do 30 mh/s, I think 2070 may perform 45 mh/s.

we would see, what the prediction is true.
whether capable its the GPU on surfing with Dag Size ETH which increases, network difficulty. and the price according to his ability. but if usually new release, the Manufacture do  "test on the water" of its products.   if looking this news, what the prediction "mining GPUs is will die too soon?" or some miner when would buying GPUs, can be said is idiot?.

Its not Volta is ampere. I dont wouldt be surprised if nvidia release new drivers for this cards and slow mining speed to provide turing sells

Titan V is based on Volta architecture. Shouldn't Titan be a "preview" of what's to come for consumers? What's the difference between Volta and Ampere?

With no new cards announced by AMD, Nvidia has little to gain releasing a very powerful product...expect that the 2070 will do something like +15/20% hash at the same power consuption of a 1070.

That article on hothardware.com about 82MH/s (ETH) with Titan Volta card probably not exactly right , as you can see on the screenshot its happened within the first second of the miner program started, there is no screenshot about that card do some real mining with over 82MH/s on long run ...
With my own personal experience those Titan V cards are very sensitive for the gpu temp / mining hashrate.  I can make them hashing stable around 81MH/s if i can keep the gpu temp under 70C, preferably under 60... as soon as gpu temp going over 70C the card become instable on 81MH/s . Between 70-75 C the hashing speen can be stabilized around 77-78MH/s ( ETH ), between 75-80C gpu temp the card can do around 75-76MH/s stable on ETH.

my "test bench" is pulling around 230 watts at the wall during ETH mining with 81MH/s
- the idle system power draw at the wall, without the Titan V installed into a my "test computer" is 60 watts .
- The idle system power draw at the wall with Titan V installed but not hashing is 90watts
So the nVidia Titan V total power draw at the wall is 230 watts - 60 watts = 170 watts, with a 81MH/s hashing power...

Im Working on water cooloing solution to keep the gpu temp lower and see what the max hashrate i can get out from this hashing monsters

Don't expect any improvements over 1080Ti in the newly released cards. As others have noted, these most likely, will be a refresh. Therefore below could be expected:
- If it's a refresh based on 1080Ti shader count, there might be 10% increase (saturation of TDP, even with process optimizations / die shrink)
- If it's a refresh based on the 1070Ti shader count, there might be 15% increase (more room).
- If it's a new card based on cut down version of Titan V, see case of 1080Ti again. As the Titan V is about 25-35% faster than 1080Ti depending on the applicaiton, it is unreasonable to expect same gain for non Titan series.

All in all, my recommendation (given market conditions) is to load up on the Titan Xp (collector's edition cards) as these are retailing now below 1080Ti pricing and will definitely have better resell value. At the same time, with optimized temperatures these cards hash at least 10% faster than aftermarket 1080Ti's.

If we take into account that Ethereum will go to PoS the main importance is core productivity (Equi, Neo,Lyra2 end same other algos). I think it will be max 20-30% better then current series.

I can't imagine Nvidia unveling a new gaming line at a conference aimed at businesses dealing with AI and deep learning.  Though there are rumors that NVidia will be releasing a mining line and a gaming line, I also can't fathom Nvidia releasing mining oriented cards before gaming cards, gamers everywhere would have a heart attack.  It will be interesting to see what happens though considering this conference claims to be about the future, so who knows what will happen.    One thing is for sure, a mining series of cards and gaming series would be nothing but pure marketing.  Miners will buy what provides the best performance at the cheapest price.
