As the Worldcoin ecosystem grows, more and more people are starting to become involved. We have decided, after much deliberation, to reveal our identities to demonstrate our level of professional commitment and personal involvement with the future of Worldcoin. By making Worldcoin Foundation's activities more transparent, we hope to foster trust in the community and promote investor confidence. With this announcement, we would also like to introduce our new website -- completely redone with new branding more closely aligned with the goals of the Foundation. We have also grown our Board from three members to four, and with that, we'd like to welcome Jonas Borchgrevink to the Board.
Jonas brings much to the table; he is the founder of MyGoodAct.com, one of the world's first crowd funding platforms for social causes. In 2012 Borchgrevink was elected to be a part of Global Shapers Oslo organized by World Economic Forum, and in 2013, Borchgrevink was elected to be the curator, leading a group of fifteen highly talented individuals. Borchgrevink has also co-founded the social innovation fund Aung San Suu Kyi World Freedom Fund in 2012. He has a Bachelor in Entrepreneurship and Business from BI Business School in Oslo and is now employed with Partnership for Change, a non-profit organization based in Oslo with the mission to improve society by activating cross-sector collaboration and social innovation.
On another note, Worldcoin will have representation at the Global Economic Symposium in Germany, October 1-2 in Kiel, Germany. We will be attending to discuss the future of cryptocurrency and, more specifically, Worldcoin's value potential in global commerce.
We are very excited about the future of Worldcoin and cannot wait to engage next steps directed toward realizing the Foundation's goals. Please stay tuned!
