 mean while I purchased 500 plus sticks from canary sold 400 at a decent profit and have 100 hashing for free.  I am happy if Canary made 500,000   cause I made about 3000 on my resales.  BTW my ebay buyers were happy to buy from me and this is what business was all about.  Oh the coupon 36x sticks that I paid .05 btc extra total of 1.8btc for.  They paid for a nice dinner for the Canary and his family.

well i find you quite hilarious.  as to all those poor simple soles on ebay well good for you that you made 3000.  but for the life of me i cannot understand you.  if you sold 300 why did you not just sell the other 100. i mean if you open a business selling furniture. so for every 300 cupboards that you sell do you burn 100 cupboards! because after all they are free since you made money selling the other ones.
don't tell me that you mine as a hobby which is nonsense since you are not doing anything just watching numbers go down on a dos program. for that price just get a screensaver.   also if you want to help bitcoin network 2 miners are enough as the bitcoin was running perfectly on graphics cards!

to the best of my knowledge, the manufacturer has never assigned batch numbers to the USB Erupters, that is purely a forums/eBay creation by the members probably for marketing/sales purposes.  friedcat has from time to time announced changes such as colors for example and post announcement he would ship those announced "versions".  the "versions" were not numeric either.  some people confused the Rev 1, rev 2 and rev 3 marking on the PCBs as versions, but the PCBs were made a VERY long time ago... then all the other variations came into existence (heat sink color changes mostly)

I'm not aware of what "batch 4" is, probably someone's conjecture about future "versions" at this point.

If you read through this thread you can see what the future holds for USB miners, as it stands right now.
