Is it risky to buy not top 100 crypto currencies?

Hey what do you think, is it risky to buy crypto currencies that are not top 100? I mean do you have a higher chance to lose your money or not?

In buying of the potential altcoins was already risk to do it, how much more the crypto's which are not belongs to 100 crypto currency, which means its more than 3x riskier. Therefore, better to buy as much as possible who is among the top 20 listed at the coinmarketcap, at least with this you are sure that you could get a nice profit in it.
