Is NANO (RaiBlocks) the best currency in crypto?

NANO is a good coin. But it is not the best. There are many other great coin as many times as NEO ETH BTC ICX. NANO is just as good at transaction processing speed

I even didn't heard about this coin. So it can't be best crypto for low brand awareness. I prefer more hamous projects with scalability and future expanent growth like NEO,EOS, ETH

Is NANO really the best crypto(currency) right now? As in pure currency, since it contains almost instant transcations speeds, has up to 7000 tx/s, no transaction fees, every wallet has a blockchain of its own and a very easy to set up a Node with the wallet meaning more decentralized network.

This puts it ahead of XRP in terms of decentralization, as well as XLM in tx/s and fee's. It basically should be able to replace Bitcoin since its better than it in every single way. Am I wrong? Are there downsides to NANO?

Arguments was there's no incentive to run a node on the NANO network but its very easy, simple and almost no cost to set up within the wallet.

It's promising for sure. All of its promises for scalability and instant transaction is very appealing. There was a reason why it was pumped as hard as it did, and it was because it's got promising technology that people and the markets demand at the moment.

Is it the best currency? I honestly don't think it's fair to compare coins with completely different agendas and aims and say which one is superior. But if a response is demanded, then it's probably a no.

I think there are more practical coins out there. This is all very thereotical, nobody is currently using it for actual commercial activity and probably not for quite a while. BTC, XMR are all more practical, even though they may not be technologically more advanced.

Well now you can try it to search it is one of the bighest gainers lile Antshare which takes a huge leap because of their launching. For all i know this can be a similar to EOS that is aiming or doing their best to defeat bitcoin which is Nano and EOS for ETH if im not wrong.

Curious to know how people manage their portfolios based on a lot of these replies.
To compare a platform coin to Nano seems a bit off to me, it's why in an earlier post I mentioned for it's category, it's one of the best.

I invest in projects which innovate and appeal in a given criteria, for platform coins I would be comparing coins like Eth, NEO, EOS etc, for speed and DAG I would be comparing Nano and IOTA, for privacy I would be comparing Monero and Verge for example.

I break my portfolio up based on such things, for DAG I consider Nano the #1 DAG coin, it belongs in a portfolio in my eyes.

Well, "the best cryptocurrency" for what? Serving decentralization? Profiteering? Something else?

I'd say all projects implementing DAGs or similar not-strictly-blockchain tech are interesting, but also all of them still need to prove actual operability.

Nano WAS a great cryptocurrency project for daily life and micro-transactions. We can't forget the recent scandal in which Nano dev team and Bitgrail owners are involved. They acted at least unprofessionally when people lost so much money. But there's more to that. I read an article where the author was tracking the wallets related to this hack and there've been suspicious money transfers involving the team before. We can't say they are guilty, but it is dangerous to trust them as well.

NANO can not even make it to TOP 10 coins, why is it the best penny in crypto? and as far as i know Some time ago the bitgrai exchange was hacked. and lost a lot of NANO. NANO's transaction speed is very fast. can be the fastest. But it will not be the top 1 coin in crypto

It is probably one of the better cryptos out there but because there have been several hacks and flaws in the security, I don't think you could consider number one or even close to number one for that matter.

It does look like an interesting project and looking at where it was in 2017 it looks really impressive. But I feel bad for investing in it ,because of the messup done by bitgrail

nano is the best currency in terms of no transactions fee but the same term Nano  pumped more than 3000 percent it is at a very high price to buy coins we should buy at dip whenever possible

nano has a great potential for sure, however this bitgrail issue made nano suffer a lot. It is something like mt.gox for nano. nano team has to find a solution asap for bitgrail issue, and some say there are technical problems in nano wallets, it seems I dont know very well but nano team has a lot work to do

Wow, I don't hear about it. Have you links to this articles? I want to read because it's very important for me. I'd like Nano but I don't watch on this coin for a season and now try to learn what I lost

Nano has the quality and time required to stabilize at high market prices, plus it has a strong community and large investors willing to insure this currency. However we must remember the value of the rates for this currency that is practically zero and that is way for a promising futro in the crypto. In general i can not find arguments against this currency.

I took a little more with today's decline. I'm very hopeful on the rise from NANO. We need to take advantage of the declines.
