It depends on your skill level, if you cannot claim from bounties then you could join an airdrop, with airdrops should do not really need to do anything to get your coins the only downside to that is that you do not get a lot of tokens, but if you have the skills to joy a bounty campaign then it is a good idea to do so since the profits that you can get with a bounty campaign are way higher.

According to my point of view, bounties are much better than airdrops. Because the amount you get from an airdrop is little and sometimes most of the airdrop tokens are difficult to exchange due to the higher GAS price than the return. But there are some good airdrops that getting few tokens can change your life. You have to spend more little time and effort to do a bounty but at the end of the day you'll get better benefits than airdrops.  

In terms of bonuses, the bounty will get higher than the airdrop, but the time it takes to complete the bounty is much longer, sometimes up to several months. If there is time I think you can do bounty and airdrop simultaneously, the key to success is to choose a good project, join and fulfill the assigned requirements.

Airdrop are really free because you just fill forms, Bounties need some work before you get paid.
I prefer bounties, because even the little bounties pay some extra coins, you can get paid as much as $500 worth of coins.
