Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future?

Do you mean beat bitcoin in price, popularity or in functionality? Well, bitcoin, up till now, remains the strongest and purest  blockchain  ( having being built with the purest programming langiage, C). Despite the fact that bitcoin is not a smart contract platform, it remains the strongest public ledger.

 Hence, in terms of storage and transfer of value , I'd say bitcoin will forever remain the most popular, even if stronger blockchains emerge in the future.

If stronger blockchains do emerge in the future, then, in terms of functionality, bitcoin might be beaten (But this will take a lot of work!)

In terms of price... It's too early make a conclusion as to whether bitcoin will remain number 1 (Although, this is very likely). Am important determinant is the amount of impact future blockchain infrastructures  will have on other sectors to warrant a competition.

In general, It will be hard for abother coin to beat bitcoin, but not impossible.

Definetly. Just like with the fiat money, during different periods of human history where only one currency was dominant above all others, the same will happen with Bitcoin. I wouldn't bet on that until 2023 though.

The good thing about life is that they will always be something sometimes better than the old way. There way a time we have British, Roman and Greek and other people ruling the world and now we have America and sometimes in future we will likely have another country depose America so I expect something in futre to take that number spot from BTC, I am not saying BTC will not be relevant again but a new tech will surely challenge for that spot
