30 million is a pretty large amount for a stablecoin startup. I wonder if they'll be able to generate the necessary cash flow.

Seems like a good ol' australian project.

But the ICO raising $30 mil doesn't mean anything. It just means that it's got a successful ICO and that is about all it means. Just because an ICO is successfully, doesn't actually mean the project itself will be any good.

Though, if it can get some government recognition as well as interest in big business names just like Power Ledger, the bigger ICO contributions can definitely make Havven one of the best Australian ICOs to have invested in.

It doesn't make sense to make a comparison with power ledger about the total amount that has been reached by the havven project itself. Havven is working to provide the stable coin with different method.
That's really different with what already done by  tether. We remember that tether gets subpoena. That means the credibility of the company still in the battle to provide the real reserved funds that backed tether.

Didn't havven sell out in hours?? It doesn't surprise me that it's rallying against powerledger. I just hope it doesn't dump on investors wanting to make a quick buck. I missed out on this ico unfortunately.

The ICO hype is at the edge of downhill but it's still much higher than the time of Power Ledger ICO. The amount of investment raised in ICO is one thing, its price afterwards is another.

Guys I don't think they're trying to compare the project to Power Ledger but just the amount raised. From what I know Power Ledge set the record in Australia and Havven just beat it.

That was a solid project, had a crowded Telegram group. When a good team shows a good project and stays active in the community, this is what happens. Hope they get to their goals.

The very solid team as far as i know there is a lot of people are talking about havven right now. I guess there will be a big waves after the token will have listed in the exchange sites, consider havven only needs 30 million dollars.
The team shows a good response to manage the community behind the havven. give a regular update and many more. It looks good at all.

Wow, I should say that it is amazing. I thought that it is a very promising project when I tried to apply for the airdrop. Hopefully, I was successful in that; probably will get 30-50$ from it

I think they're currently on a couple like etherdelta and idex. I'm probably missing a few. Here is the best explanation I've found about their dual token system and how it works.

Havven is a decentralised payment network and stablecoin designed to enable everyday cryptocurrency purchases.

The Havven platform uses two tokens to achieve stability. The havven token provides the collateral for the platform. Nomin tokens, a stablecoin, are issued against the value of the collateral token. This dual token approach incentivises users to hold havven tokens because network transaction fees are paid to havven holders. As more people use nomins for everyday transactions, the value of havven tokens will increase due to the higher fees generated.

Havven is a totally decentralised stablecoin, which means that, like bitcoin, it is secure and resistant to censorship. However, in contrast to Bitcoin, Havven uses a decentralised asset to reduce price volatility. The asset backing for the stablecoin comes from transaction fees generated by the Havven network. This means the asset is distributed and cannot be lost, stolen or seized.

I don't know man, it kinda sounds like a perpetuum mobile... I feel like there's a catch somewhere but I can't explain it. 30 million of at a ratio of 1:5, means 6 million worth of nomins with a buffer of 24 million. So for every spendable  million you need a buffer of 4 million. Is that sustainable?

Tons of ICOs are raising over $20m.
Really not a big deal to be honest... People give money to everything nowadays.
Although almost all of them go down x2-x3. Crazy market for ICOs at the moment.
