Do You Expect Bitcoins to Replace Currencies or Compete Alongside Them?

Personally, I do not ever see bitcoins replacing currencies. I see Bitcoins as a competing Currency like Gold or Silver, but not tangible, of course.

What do you folks think?

At least until everybody currently living dies off, that is.
