It feels very strange for me to see the winners announced and not have any merits to dish out. I'm probably going to end up reviewing some posts and hopefully I find a couple of posts worth meriting anyways. It's become somewhat of an addiction to sift through posts, finding interesting threads to get involved in, build up and potentially merit.

Congratulations to all of the winners, you are the first to be looked at when I get the chance.

Hey bill, maybe this will make you feel less strange, but I am still missing one merit from you from round 4 second place .  Wink

I received an merit from you last week, but that was not related to this contest, but your own smerit review thread (from an old post).

I'll take a look into that, it's very possible that I missed a merit point. I could have sworn I went back and fulfilled all of my "obligations", but of course I may have missed one I suppose. That does make me feel less strange, in fact, now I feel almost normal. If I remember correctly, I did give you a merit for your placement in a prior round, on the 1st or 2nd of the month. I thought that was for round 4, second place, but I've been wrong before and we'll see.

It's a bit confusing cause I was second for 2 consecutive rounds.

Roger that, I think it was Round 3 that I missed you actually; because I feel like I remember doing it for Round 4. Regardless, it looks like I have indeed skipped you on a merit without realizing it. One way or another, doesn't matter how you slice it, I pledged a merit as long as I felt you were deserving and I certainly agree.

I have given you a merit for this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3306385.msg34502844#msg34502844

Very interesting read, and it seems like it is getting you a lot of attention in terms of merit; thought I might as well jump on the wagon, even if it wasn't a post made back when the merit was pledged. I don't see that as being much of a concern, because even looking through your past post history during the time of the pledge(s) your posts were still up to par with my "criteria" of meriting. Good job placing twice in a row, and apologies for taking so long to circle back to you.

Great initiative, can't believe I haven't come across this before. I don't usually look too much in the services section, so that's probably why Tongue
I'd like to become a sponsor, but I'm not completely sure yet how much I'm willing to donate.

Can I just deposit to the escrow address, or how does it work? I'm planning to do a pretty decent donation (more than 0.01 btc), so you might be able to increase the rewards.

Im pretty sure that you will just have to send to the donation address, then post a txid of how much you have deposited, and to which rules you would like for your donation (or if BTCforJoe can choose my himself). Joe is a really honest guy, and im pretty sure that he will appreciate the donation as much as every person on this forum  Grin

Amazing! Thank you very much for your generosity! Your donation will keep this challenge ongoing for another month! Did you have anything specific in mind, in regards to how you wanted your donation dispersed?

I will update the sponsor roll when I return to a computer. Thanks again, @eternalgloom. This is very ungloomy of you Grin

Welcome to Round 7; good luck!

Unfortunately, the escrow address is being hosted from a wallet that is only compatible with nested P2SH SegWit addresses so I'm unable to send to bech32 addresses at the moment. No need to change addresses at the moment; if you place in any ranked positions, we can revisit the issue then. Cheers, and welcome to the challenge!

As eternalgloom said that he leaves that to someone else, joe i'm holding a one merit.
I guess i will donate it again for  the consolidation price of the next round, also i'd like to add only to give it out to Newbies/Jr. Members, but with the exception that if that person must have below 10 merits, as when activity gets updated they will get ranked up anyway so it will not really benefit them on ranking up anymore.

In this instance, I would rather have you award the user of your choice, rather than including it in an "official" prize. It's becoming increasingly difficult to track all the conditions that are left for each rank and rewards for those ranks, especially when the rank has multiple rewards with certain stipulations for each of those rewards.

While I appreciate you donating your merit to winners, I do invite you to award it as you wish to a deserving participant of your choice Smiley

Thanks!

Every week, the spreadsheet is taken down during the scoring process. Please do not request access to it; it will become publicly accessible again once the scoring is done.

For now, make sure to get in your applications for Round 7! And sit tight, a winner for Round 6 will be announced by morning!

I have been away with sickness and electricity issues for nearly 3 weeks now.
However, I am back now and I am distributing the merit points that I have promised here. So far here are the qualifying posts that I liked :

Media is funded by strong/powerful interests, the same interests that doesn't want decentralization to happen.

Fortunately it reached to a level where it is impossible for anyone to stop right now.

Some people criticizes Mr. Satoshi for not revealing his identity. But he was smart enough to know that he seriously didn't want to do that. Some people say that you can kill the messenger but you can't kill the message. Myself trying to survive in Venezuela right now know exactly what it means. In this case they can't get the messenger or the message, since it's decentralization and mysterious nature of the creator make it impossible to do.

Bitcoin was created using the greatest level of intelligence possible. It's the closest to perfection human kind can aspire, for now.

Quote from: xWolfx link=topic=2264569.msg34468749#msg34468749
Bitcoin will end when the big amount of people who believe in it stops doing it. There are a lot of us who are not supporting it for money reasons only or at all.

This currency is changing the world, but what is happening right now it's nothing in comparison to what will happen in the future.

Just like Henry Ford said: "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our
banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be
a revolution before tomorrow morning."

I discovered bitcoin while studying about how to protect my privacy on the internet.

Crytpocurrencies and privacy and closely related. This way many people here care about privacy, however I still see many users in this forum who are not using basic privacy tools, like an ad block.

This simple guide is for those people.
...
(This was a really good post)

This is exactly the kind of FUD, coupled with that Singaporean exchange FUD, that pushes the price lower... Ugh why do they do this?

But Okay, I read the article, and your post is misleading. Your post is more FUD than the article LOL.

Google is not banning Crypto ads....

(This one might be before he applied for this campaign but its a very important point that he's put across, people spreading FUDs)

I have somehow made it a habit of mine to check this thread more than any other for some reason. I'm waiting with baited breathe for the announcement of this rounds winners. I've got my merit handy for those that are deserving and hopefully I'll find some interesting discussions to hop in, because my review thread has been rather unfruitful in these regards lately.
