I hold a small bag with ETC. And was hoping to see ETC at 40-50$ now because of the HARD FORK 5th March. But now it looks like everyone just dump the coin. Can anyone tell me what is going on ?

People do not believe in forks, they do not have the flexibility and development in the future. This is just a tool for the outflow of investors, so we see its fall, and it's not worth it to count on the rise. |

Forks have been, for quite a long time, a scam way to bring money to dev team. Without many efforts, and taking profits from cryptocurrencies hype, they did make a fortune. People are now realizing and punishing this bad behavior....

It's not an actual fork but an airdrop for the holders.
The new coin would have completely different blockchain.
And it somehow proves the accusations ETC devs are getting from the start.
ETC is dead.

Sell and take loss or wait for it to get back to 35$ ? Thats when i bought them.

If the currency is strong, then Hardfork will increase its price because of the high demand for it before new fork happens "get free coins" There seems to be a fear of ETC so no one wants to venture and buy it to get a free new fork "Which will often be worse than ETC". If you don’t have large amounts, keep your balance and think in another currency. |

then you are waiting for something that can harm, you better trade when there are events like hardfork. because hardfork is not so popular since the last hardfork that occurred on NXT in December last 2017

So what you guys think will happen to ETC after the fork ?
I only hold 150 ETC but if they going down hard i will sell now and stop losses. Understand that i did a big mistake now buying ETC. LOL !!

Because most of the time these forks don't have any value, so when ETC has some good news, so many people will consider selling ETC, which leads to the decline in the ETC price.

Actually right now the ETC chart analysis and price action show that this coin is not having that kind of great potential both for the future and current investment option. And I don't think that Charts analysis is anywhere related to the hard fork and the price of ETC doesn't move according to the hard fork they move according to the coins potential and future development and their expected growth for the future purposes. It will be better if you choose some other coin than ETC as I don't see any strong reason here to buy it right now in the current market conditions.

I'm not a huge holder of ETC, I have only about 10 ETC, so i'm hoping to sell them over 335-350
but i'm reading now your posts and I really now have some doubts should I keep and receive a fork or to sell it and forget it. I do not want to be in situation holders of ZCL now..

Maybe people bought the news, expectations and they sell the reality? I think etc is the worst coins among the good coins. It will rise though without any real reason.

The hard fork was a joke, everybody thought that the airdrop is going to be amazing but it failed so hard, I believe that the only guys who made money from this airdrop were those who shorted ETC right after the airdrop, easy money could have been made.
The expectations were pretty big considering that it was the first time that ETC was making an airdrop, it should be a lesson, airdrops are just hype and dump things, make sure that you are not entering in the over-hype position, and if you do, make sure that your position is a short position.

There is a simple calculation. For the last 24 hours ETC lost 10% of its price. When a coin forks the price of the fork is usually below those 10%, just take a look at all bitcoin forks (bitcoin cash is the only expensive coin but it is getting hyped AF). Those forks are not worth buying coins, it is only a small bonus for hodlers.

I suggest you to wait until tomorrow, one day before snapshot wait for good news, if there any exchange will support this hard fork ETC price will rised again |

I suggest you to wait until tomorrow, one day before snapshot wait for good news, if there any exchange will support this hard fork ETC price will rised again I was thinking the same. I am a noob started trading in Desember 2017. I have made many mistakes to be honest. But guess thats what makes us stronger. Learning from our own mistakes ,) Hope we se a up trend in the market soon after 8-10 weeks with blood. |

I think we wont see any big rise of price in next few hours, poeple are already little tired from all these "forks", also the value of callisto is not expected to be much so the motivation for stay during the snapshot or quick buy before, is not big at all. Despite, I sell like 80% of my ETC, two days ago... 20% I will leave to get some callisto, but my expectations aren´t high at all
