Bitcoin's regret is I did not buy for $ 200 in 2014. and the bitcoin price is so high in 2017
I regret that I was a 12 year old at the time of the birth of bitcoin and didn't had enough financial knowledge to come into bitcoin.
If I would have been an adult then I am sure that I would have been amongst the earliest adapters of bitcoin.

cash out bitcoin to pay taxes  Undecided
You cashed out your bitcoin stash to pay taxes unrelated to bitcoin, or your local tax office targeted you about paying BTC tax?

I regret that I was a 12 year old at the time of the birth of bitcoin and didn't had enough financial knowledge to come into bitcoin.
If I would have been an adult then I am sure that I would have been amongst the earliest adapters of bitcoin.
It is hardly someone can truly regret. Some things are just beyond us.
You are armed with knowledge about future of BTC, but I doubt that you will sold your house in 2010- 2011 to buy random online virtual currency.

What are some of your biggest bitcoin regrets, and what were you thinking back then?

Besides "not getting in sooner"  Grin

Obligatory: BFL  Tongue

EDIT: Bitcoin "mistakes" go here =)
My great regret is selling my bitcoin when it price was at a lower rate compared to were bitcoin price is today. I also regret not getting in early when it price was at  around $10. I wish I get in early than when I took interest in it and I sold of my coin and the price went up to over 100% the following week.

My only real regret regarding Bitcoin is that I sold much of what I had at about 800$ per BTC. Seeing btc grow so much in so little time made me a bit sad but it happens now & then to almost everyone I guess. Smiley

Other than the obvious ones such as not piling in during 2010 I don't have many. I should've bought more during 2014/15 but I'd already spent what I planned to spend and wouldn't let myself go over that no matter how tempting.

I do have multiple regrets with alts. Every single time I have the fleeting thought 'hmm, maybe I should allocate a little something to xxx' xxx goes up 4x. It happened with Stellar a couple of days ago and I knew this would happen. I think I'm going to stop looking at alts now. It's too daffy.

My biggest bitcoin regrets is not getting necessary information about bitcoin earlier not until I came across this site. Going through this site had really exposed me into the world of not only bitcoin but other cryptocurrencies having known this long time ago I would have invested in bitcoin when the price was very low.

cash out bitcoin to pay taxes  Undecided

Atleast you have paid your taxes but I know you have the same regret as others because you have sold your btc at lower price. If it was spent for your own good there's no need to regret for it because you did have some beneficial use on it. But we really can't remove the fact that if you sold it at lower price and seeing the price to pump now, you will regret.

The most recent one is buying a steam game worth $29.99 for 0.07 btc a year ago. I know it's not a big sum, but compared today, it's almost a hundred dollars. I pre-ordered BF1 back then and thought that I would be getting a pretty sweet deal. 7 months later I ended up regretting buying it due to its equivalent right now.

But the biggest of my regret is probably not knowing bitcoin too soon.

I've been spending loads recently. I don't really give a shit if it spirals upwards. At some point you have to put it to work giving you some enjoyment. It can't remain as paper profits forever.

My personal record is a piece of shit phone that was 0.3 BTC second hand. I would now get about $30 for it.

Well i guess that first regret would be not finding Bitcoin earlier Cheesy . But that one i think does not count, or why did not buy bitcoin earlier. Well because i am pretty new to Bitcoin, my only regret would be, why i did not wait for a bit long for price of bitcoin to rise more and than to sell it Cheesy . I sold my bitcoin saving a bit earlier than i needed too Cheesy .

As time goes on and bitcoin price increase, meanwhile another stuff price seems decline over time such as phone that you have mentioned.
If I could go back to 2010, I will purchase bitcoin as much as I can but that's something out of question, don't regret such thing.
But, you should regret sell out bitcoin at current price when it reach $2000 or $5000 a piece of bitcoin.

Are you sure about that? Vast riches aside, it would probably be living nightmare of paranoia about being unearthed some day.

I regret almost every mistake that I commit, I didn't listen to the people that are telling me that bitcoin has a future and it's value will increase in no time. And that happened and I was like, I want to go back to the past. And the next mistake that I did is when I was able to sell most of my bitcoins when I needed to do so because I don't have money anymore.

My biggest regret for bitcoins is that i should have joined this forum in the year 2012 and earned bitcoins as much as possible.
Well back then the price of bitcoins were very low ,on the other hand payments of signature campaigns were high and by now i could have earned a lot of bitcoins, rather now i have to work harder to earn that amount of bitcoins.

Huge mistake for basically everyone just getting into Bitcoin, same thing happened to me. Burned a few weeks before exploring my other options, and I'm glad I did.

It's a shame that faucet websites exist basically solely due to the fact that there are new users just getting into Bitcoin that are learning, otherwise chances are a majority of them would not be turning a profit and be kept in existence at all. Good on your for getting onto this website.
