Thanks. That resolved it. Always something new to learn.

I also noticed that there's a mismatch between incoming amount and the block reward. I got in my wallet showing a incoming transaction of 84.688669172 but the block reward was 90.089869300.

That is because OMBRE has a dev fee per block instead of premine which currently sits arround 6% but will gradually fall. It's normal for block reward to be 84.

Got ya. Updated the pool to take that in consideration.

If you are trying to import an old wallet, the GUI wallet will ask you to set a new password for that wallet. If you never set a password using the GUI wallet before, then it shouldn't ask you to put in a password, unless it is asking you to set a new password for the new wallet you are about to create using your private key/seed or one it generated for you.

You can tell it is asking for a new password when it asks you to set the password twice. (To ensure you typed it correctly) Any time after that, you will only need to enter the password once.

Keep in mind; this password is just so only you can access your wallet using the GUI. Your seed/private key is not tied to any password you set. So even if you forget your password you still have access to your funds as long as you have your seed/private key.

Thanks Bluecore and infinity for the help.  Got everything moved over.  This GUI wallet looks great.  Very clean.

Whats the latest devs?

Do you plan to apply for some exchanges? Not seen a reply from you since I asked the question a few days back, hopefully you are working hard behind the scenes Smiley

Latest developments include - Continued work on the GUI wallet to ensure working order, as well as adding more content to the Ombre website.
We hope to have Ombre listed on Stocks.exchange in the next couple of days. We will update you all as soon as it is listed.

Come check out the Telegram channel, you will be able to keep updated with the latest Ombre happenings.  Smiley
Great thank you for the update and good luck with the listing Smiley

I tend not to use telegram as I'm not a big fan so I'll keep checking back on this thread.

Telegram is good. It can communicate with developers in real time. If there are any mining problems, you can get help from other friends in it.

That's quite alright. I will keep you updated here.  Smiley
We are very close to being listed on Stocks.exchange, a few more hours and we should be ready to roll.
In other news the cli and gui wallets for both Windows and Linux seem to be in working order; we have a few more changes we would like to make, but as of right now all the basic necessary wallet functions are in place. The Mac OS version isn't coming along as smoothly though. We hope to get it working as soon as possible.

Small updates:

1) An updated version of the block rewards over time (emission) can be viewed here:
    https://www.ombre.io/emission.jpg

The first block is low because it was the genesis block with 1 OMB as the reward.

2) Stocks.exchange mentioned we will go live tomorrow. Today the wallet was tested and verified to work correctly.

Haha, Nicehashers aren't loyal.
It also might have to do with the fact that payments seem to be broken on your pool partyvibe. Might want to fix that if you plan on attracting Miners.

Hey all,

Just a reminder that we really appreciate it when you report issues you run into on our GitHub repo.
https://github.com/ombre-projects/ombre/issues

No matter how small: any bug or suggestion helps!

Also note that we are looking into implementing a hardfork to deal with the ASICs and additionally we're preparing the Android wallet.

Cheers!

As far as I understand the project is calculated on many years ahead. Demanding design further and completions of details. Interesting of course concept of approach to business. I intend to take part in this project too, but at first probably it is better to study in more detail.

It's critically important to plan years ahead as you can't change every single specification once things are hardcoded into the protocol. You need to think a lot about all parameters and implementations to make sure no major changes are required.

Exactly correct. Ombre has been in the works for quite a long time. Even though it was just recently launched, Ombre is still in planning phases, which is why the website is a bit bare bones at the moment. Ombre wants to go slow to ensure everything gets done right.
