hmm, freshly compiled wallet, started syncing and got:

Code:
2018-Mar-22 15:08:29.670570 [P2P3][104.200.137.40:19743 OUT]Sync data returned a new top block candidate: 21299 -> 25140 [Your node is 3841 blocks (2 days) behind] SYNCHRONIZATION started
2018-Mar-22 15:08:35.329433 [P2P8][69.85.85.37:19743 OUT]Sync data returned a new top block candidate: 21299 -> 25140 [Your node is 3841 blocks (2 days) behind] SYNCHRONIZATION started

same problem also after removal of .ombre/lmdb/ and restarting the daemon.
Any help on this?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Due to some.l weird event the network Forked 2 days ago. Just let daemon sync until it reaches the new top hight. If you still have problems please join our telegram. We can help you more there.

I am not on telegram. Can I download up-to-date blockchain from somewhere and sync from there?
Or any other hints?

It would be faster for you to just sync the blockchain using the wallet software. The blockchain is quite small right now, I would recommend just syncing the normal way.

That's what I am doing but normal sync(./ombred) doesn't finish.

Give the GUI wallet a try, only just to download the blockchain. You won't have to use it after that if you do not wish too.

Make sure you are using the latest code. I got ombred stuck on block height 21299 too, but stopping it and starting again helped.

Hi SadBatman,

OMBRE Pool https://pool.ombre.io is not making payment since 3/24/2018 5:01pm GMT.
(17.5 hours has lapsed at the time of this writing)

Our hundreds of OMBRE are stuck in "Pending Balance", not sure if you are aware of the issue?

Thank you.

As long as the Ombre mined was mined before the accidental hardfork, or after the pool was fixed, you will receive them soon. The pool's wallet is empty currently, and is not able to make payments. After a few more hours (a day or two) enough blocks will be matured to resume payment.

Attention miners. The official pool is currently frozen.
https://pool.ombre.io/
All Ombre are safe and will be paid out soon. As we fix the issues we encourage you to mine using the other available pools. We truly apologize for any inconveniences you maybe have incurred, and will try our best to ensure this does not happen again.

Okay, compiled latest ombre from github and syncing continues.

Update from the devs.

The official pool is back up and running. We took measures to make sure it won't be down again.

Right now we are working on the following items:

  • Updating the PoW to make it asic resistant.  We will likely follow the Monero implementation but have not made a decision yet.  @crypto_sr is the owner of this task
  • Increasing transaction sizes (see also https://github.com/ombre-projects/ombre/pull/34/) as some large transactions get blocked by this. @sadbatman is the owner of this task
  • Implement an Android wallet (@sadbatman is the owner)

We also made a prerelease last week available here:
https://github.com/ombre-projects/ombre/releases/tag/1.2.1a

This is an experimental release and please only use it when you are willing to give use feedback on bugs & issues. The prerelease contains the following changes:

  • Fixed DNS checkpointing: we now have DNSSEC servers running for this.
  • Enable HTTP compression on RPC communication.
  • Enforce (and recover) strict file permissions on wallet files.

As always - please report problems on github or come hang out in the Telegram group.

So ... Allow me to explain the situation to everybody. Due to the fact that we have a small network hashrate now, and a small block time of 60s this forks might happen especially when nicehash miners decide to mess with the network. But the daemon has built in reorganization protocol. Cheesy Thank you for your continuous support and understanding.
