Can you clarify how these work as far as:

1) do they need to be connected to a computer, or do you merely access thru an ip address?

2) do you need your own power supply? (I have two decent ones I can use already.)

I have a somewhat early order, but figured I would figure this stuff out once I got it.  :-D

Quick question can you post an image of it looks like with the lid on? Or doesn't it have a lid?

Here is a good album that you can check out.

Just unbox plug in ethernet cord and power cord to your power supply that you provide. Make sure to connect 4 PCIE cables that go to the Asic Units, and the standard molex cable to the controller board.

I recommend the corsair AX860i Smiley

If you had provided your info to KnCMiner under your account page then you should up and mining as long as you have power and internet Smiley

Use google chrome to connect to the web admin page.

In the admin page you can enable ssh and update the system to v0.93.

Edit: Forgot to include the fact that you do need to provide your own power supply.

many thanks

edit: seems you seem very knowledgeable HW-wise I ask you one last thing Tongue

I have a v850 cooler master for my jup. it comes only with 3 pci-e wire connectors even if the PSU has more than 3 pci-e plugs.
then I used one of them to power two ASIC core. is it correct or i'm actually under power 2 out of 4 cores in my jup ?

it depends if those cords are on Single 12V rail or multiple 12V rails.

You want a power supply that gives a single 12V rail power feed.

If this is your power supply then it has a single rail.
http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=10042
However it comes with 6 PCI-e 6+2 pin connectors.

So based on your question I do not think it is the correct one.

What is the model number of your powersupply and I may be able to answer that more accurately.

thats old news Smiley

However is one reason for my concern about the lack of proper air movement in and out of the case.

Hard to say what their ambient temps were. What type of power supply they had. And even what type of circuits they were running on.

P.S.

I confirm my PSU is cooler master v850. it has 6 pci-e plug but in the packaging I've only found 3 PCI-e cables.

Since that is a single rail type power supply then the only risk I can see happening is that you melt the molex connectors.

However if you update the firmware from stock then you should be fine.

I have a Corsair Gaming Series 2013 Edition GS 800W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, is it any good for the Juniper? Also I am thinking of getting
LEPA G1600-MA-EU, so I can plug two together. Also I am considering getting Corsair HX850 Professional Series HX 850W ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold PSU. Is this one any good?

ps: I purchased 2 Juniper, the GS 800W is currently connected to an ASICMiner Blade.

If its an old ps from your gpu mining days then it may be worth considering.

However
I recommend what I use.

AX860i
http://www.corsair.com/en/ax860i-digital-atx-power-supply-860-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu.html

I have used it with Avalons and will continue to use them as long as the power requirements are in their operating spec range.

Ok, I might get your one, but it is more expensive than all the one I listed.

I realize that and saving capital is always a good call. However out the Power Supply models I own, this one and the OCZ1250 I have found gave me the best results overall.
