Well my Jupiters a bit shit.
4 VRM Model.
Average Hash 0.94 and 0.95 410Gh/s
Average Hash 0.96 278Gh/s
Sent support and email with my asic_test log file that's added when upgrading to 0.96, looks like and I have some dodgy Chips lots of bad cores.

that's some terrible readings
did you look inside the case? is everything tight and seem right?

Every thing looks and feels (nothing loose) apart front fans when miner arrived. I don't think any firmware upgrade s going to fix my problems, think I need a New miner. Running at the moment with out Asic #3 due to only having 3 DC/DC (which I assume are the VRMs) and should be 4 DC/DC like the other boards. On version 0.95 Running at just shy of 300Gh/s.

That doesn't look good. If this is right after restart then likely one of the 4 power modules is defective/damaged or poorly soldered. With only 3 modules or <100W available it is unlikely you are going to get anything good from this module. Maybe KNC can just send you a spare module first and you send the defective back second.

wow, that is good to know. I would think that anyone with full 8 VRM boards wouldn't bother going past .93 or .94 since those boards can handle it nicely. Not sure if they will ever do specific tuning for 8 VRM boards (or even acknowledge they exist lol) I saw .96 clean up two of my ASICs so they ran with no cores dropping, but I still had one board with lots of drops and that other board with the bad VRM that is either on with all cores or off with none (almost always off) My VRM issue doesn't take the whole board down unless I run .93 or earlier firmwares, then FPGA errors are all over the place and make everything unusable. Im done playing guinea pig for KNC I'm staying on .94 for now since I have 8 VRM and know they could give a shit less about us. Makes sense seeing the diff jump and the new ASIC guys charging forward with 0.6w per gh/s or less. KNC know their business is going to be over except for RMA and customer service by next year unless they decide to make a new better chip (not going to out do Cointerra). They just want to rake in what they can before this little game is up. I adjusted now anyways to monitoring my newborn problem child and setting my alarm to wake me every 3 hours during the night to check it. If it blows up or I can't get back to where I am (ALMOST HAPPENED!) I'm out a lot of money so risk management says I stay put. @Crypto_Cumbrian, try loading .95 again then doing a hard reset, reboot, then once again putting .95 this has worked with me on .94 and worked with .95 with others. Looks like you have a really bunk chip contact customer service they seem willing to work with people with REALLY bad chips. Also might try the above method with .96

Just got my KNC today, seems like its running at 522 GH/s or so (with 0.96 firmware) according the web interface. It hasn't been running long enough for me to get accurate stats from the pool I'm using. I'll measure power consumption when I bring it home tonight.
I'm surprised on how quiet it is. It is so much quieter than my Avalon and BFL singles.
The web interface says its hot (52, 56.5, 58, and 49 are the temps) but the heatsinks are not even warm.
It arrived with three fans off and sliding around inside the case. Taking off the case was a PITA because I didn't the special screwdriver needed.

This happened to me at first as well. I averaged around 535GH/s at v0.95, and after upgrading to 0.96 it dropped to around 490-495GH/s or so. BUT... I've been running it for over an hour and a half and I've stabilized (for the last 30 minutes or so) at an average of 549-550GH/s. So far everything seems to be running just fine, though I'll keep an eye out and edit this post if anything comes up. Maybe it just needed to warm up for a bit?

Dude presuming that's been hashing for at least 20min, that def sounds off. Try and boot one module at a time and make a note of each module's individual hashrate, call up CS tomo.

it'll never be endorsed by KNC but if you take the heatsink fans and sit them on the crossbar you'll get better flow over the board & chips and 5-7C lower I'll post a pic when I get a chance

yes, works well I just have the top of the fan shroud slightly pinned into the 4th gap in the heatsink fins. You could use a bit of electrical tape but they sit well, no vibration or anything I'll shoot a few more pics

I've had them running like this the past few days with no movement. I even have a top fan sitting on the rubber stoppers and nothing moves. But to be more sure you could put a little electrical tape on the top and another piece on the sides too
