List of sMerit Giveaways/Contests in BCT (Updated March 05)

So I notice that a lot of members especially the lower ranked ones complaining that they are not receiving enough merits or any at all. Well it is now there chance to receive some sMerits with the following giveaways/contest. So I will be posting here a list of threads created by members who are willing to give their merits away. The catch is they have their own set of rules before they send the merits away. Let see if other Merit Sources will follow other members on creating their own Merit Giveaway Thread.

There's already a similar thread to yours (List of Threads Giving Away Merits). It does exactly the same (you should lock this thread and continue over there).

I've still got merit to give away award, but I don't give it to people who ask for it, and obviously I don't give it to people who are on my ignore list.

Oh I am sorry honestly I don't even know that there is similar thread even after I posted mine. But I intend to keep updating this thread in a simple manner as to compared to what the ither thread is posting which has many classification.

I've still got merit to give away, but I don't give it to people who ask for it, and obviously I don't give it to people who are on my ignore list.

You go on my ignore list for creating hard to read formated posts, and for adding useless images that could be replaced with a few lines of text.

This is very interesting, I want to try it. I think this is very helpful account that hard to rank for me.

Merit is a good breakthrough because with this the spammers will feel very big difficulties.

But I also realized, I am still learning and trying to understand what are the rules that apply to this forum. Please support from the members here so that I can be a member that matches the purpose of the bitcointalk.org forum goal achievement. thanks

Don't you think this kind of thread is more appropriate in the service section?
When I am seeing Giveaways/Contests it reminds me of a similar thread dedicated for the mere purpose of it like Games and Rounds.

I've locked my thread as I was getting PMs and posts from it requesting merits and post reviews. I put a few members on ignore for begging, but on reflection I thought that being in threads like this gave the wrong impression to new members. I would encourage anyone who is trying to obtain merits through these threads to read the first few posts. Make sure you understand the objectives of the OP, and the conditions for his reviews.

Is this a legal thing to get a merit? I read some posts about redtrust given for merit. I am still not very clear on the giving of merit to the contest. Please give me a reference so I can find answers to my questions. regards

That's for merit trading, merit buying, or other kinds of cheating on the merit system. These contests/giveaways are aimed at giving merits only to quality posters, exactly what the system was supposed to do.
Merits should go to quality posters, instead of Shitposters and, sadly, it seems like these giveaways/contests are the only reasonably effective way to achieve that.

So, if you want to give away merit, but want to avoid red trust, just don't sell it, trade it, or anything else. Also don't give merits to non-qualitative posters.

As long as you send your merits only to quality posters in your contest/giveaway, you should do fine!

I assume this would also be a sort of Merit giveaway, though things seem to be limited to one or two merits.

The other sMerit giveaway thread seems to be somewhat dead with the last post being on the 12th of March, though I understand it's not every day people make merit giveaway threads. Part of the reason that the thread seems to be dead might be due to the fact that the OP of the thread updates it almost as soon as any giveaway comes up; the giveaway I just listed is already on it.

Don't blame me for this but I hate merit giveaway threads. Have quality posts? You'll get it from other users who are interested in threads you post and your post is interesting for them too. Want merit to rank up? Try hard.
Why do we have giveaways? To make ourself appear high in others eyes?
OP is it so hard for you to find people who deserves merit while you post?
If we want merit system to work, let's avoid these giveaways and let it work like it had to be.
