Many investors in ICO are interested in the short-term gains that the tokens have to offer.  For that reason the tokens generally are quite volatile once listed on exchanges. This is definitely not a time to purchase if you are looking to hold for the long run.  Volatility is high and there is a chance the market is simply trying to dump the token in reaction to external forces. Wait until there is stability in the market...

But if we buy at the time of ICO in the open of course we will put our tokens for a very long time because of course so we have to wait for the project runs smoothly so that when it entered the market a lot of prices will rise above. the price of ICO, but I observe the ICO token at the beginning of this year is very bad when listing in the market due to a very deep price decline may be due to very poor market conditions so for this time we better buy in the market. when the first token entered the market.

From the little experience i have, buying at the market is better than buying during an ICO. When you buy at the market, then you are sure that you will one day be able to sell them just as you bought.Some icos may not be successful.

I think it all depends on the coin and the campaign, on how successful the campaign was. If you research enough on the project then you might be able to tell whether a campaign is going to be successful and when it would actually be. If it takes time for it to implement its platform then buying in the market is the best way to earn from it.

It has become very dangerous and heartbreaking to buy during ICO price. Most projects hardly achieve their target and thus listing on exchanges also becomes a major drawback. it is the reason why most investors now buy from exchanges directly.

I agree with you and I can't blame the investors that don't buy at the ICO stage due to most coin team not fulling their promise. But despite that there are still good altcoin worth buying during the ICO level. An example MozoCoin and it already partner with Gianni Versace, Wanda group etc.

You can either buy during ICO or market it all depends on the price for example ICO price are cheaper but some bounty hunters quickly dump their tokens immediately they receive them even lower than ICO price.

According to me its been much better to buy during ICO rather than market but after completing proper research on project, if you think it has some potential then you can buy during ICO. It might be quite tough but this is the best way to buy coins at low price.

if we consider about current market situation then buying in market is more profitable. because most of top tokens are now down below the ico price, so if we are in a bull run then buying in ico is more profitable because most of people are buying and low amount of sellers
