Dear Friends (and with that statement I deliberately exclude the naysayers), I've started a website in support of Ross Ulbricht, the man accused of being one of the Dread Pirates Roberts. There have been at least three by my count and at least four by the count of Eileen at allthingsvice.com. From what little is known of Ross's writings online, I don't credit the idea that he was being any murders-for-hire. I'm in daily contact with Ross's parents and assisting them from various angles. https://www.rossulbricht.org/

We'll what can people do legally to help this guy out? what are the accusations, arguments?
I'm sure if we leveraged the power of the internet we could do what Kasparov did to beat a computer chess player, pooled the knowledge of other chess players into one community against the computer, a great overwhelm strategy to a machine limited by a one track mind.

If you think my efforts are worth something; I'll keep on keeping on. I don't believe in IQ, only in Determination.

You could go to lawschool, get a degree, become a defense attorney, sift through the old court documents and try to get a retrial about 10 years from now. Or you could pool the entire power and resources of a internet forum filled with reclusive programmer geniuses, countless underage minors, a few jerks, a couple trolls, the winkelvos twins, to accomplish the greatest collective whine that ever whined and was then forgotten. ;-)

Why are we rallying around a guy who brings negativity towards btc?
I would think we would rather try to rally around legit companies, so that bitcoin can expand, not get looked at as a nefarious thing by many.

I would think we would rather try to rally around legit companies, I found a problem with your otherwise rather prudent hypothesis.

The first one is bees. BEES, man. You can't trust bees. The second one has been sold several times to increasingly shady people and is now being run out of a post office box in Kowloon Hong Kong. Regarding the third one, the forums are full of complaints about this former T-shirt-company-cum-metals-dealer not doing their job correctly.

Honey is yummy. I didn't know about the last 2 things though, kinda glad you said something, I was on bitmit last night looking at laptops. I won't be dealing there now.

multiple dpr's seems legit, as anyone would with a brain would want out after their first few million. especially given the dpr reference in the first place, which was that the dread pirate roberts was a cover that was handed down after a certain amount of time. Im not sure where i stand on the alleged murder for hire plots. For sure if there was even a shred of that the feds/media would for sure to play it up to keep him from being a total martyr. On the other hand power corrupts, money corrupts, and at his height dpr had both. either way i hope that it comes out that ulbricht is innocent

I thought he stated in an interview that he wasn't the original DPR, but he bought the site from the founder at some point.

Probably not relevant from the FBI's point of view. He's running it now, so..... For all we know he had the previous DPR's executed.
