Another giant corporation wanting to cash in on the crypto profit. 

Expecting this to be some corporate-centralized-style coin.

I could see them accepting cryptocurrencies in the future, but with so many regulations for crypto in the US, it would be complicated for them to launch an ICO (though they might not have the need to go the ICO way and could do a direct launch ... though I would be happy to invest in their ICO).

If this occurs it will be the biggest ICO with giant hard cap Considering Telegram ICO with hard cap 850 million $ +Amazon has much more resources

Why would they face legal problems? I think it's certainly doable, a lot of bureaucratic and legal potential problems and work but still doable. It's amazon we're talking about.

I hope this news will be officially recognized. If there is no official approval, this is probably a rumor. There are many false news that many platforms do not promote ICO.

This has been a rumor since last year. Maybe they are trying to give their customers some excitement but they won't really adopt crypto. If they will make their own coin, it will be centralized and it can be of value that is static and no movement.

I think is more realistic that we will see somewhere in the future Amazon's implementation of blockchain but it would be some combination of centralization/decentralization... it would be a good fit for them to have child chain with Plasma when ethereum devs implement it

It is like they just created a coin and will have no usage at all but just change your USD to an online one.
Used for buying items in Amazon that will just make it confusing when trying to convert USD with the Amazon coin.

I would rather let it stay the same way or else they are risking to lose some customers instead of adding more.

If Amazon comes in to the crypto market then it is a positive note but I doubt that this is not the real news and this should be a false one. Amazon is a giant in retail industry and known for its innovation, if this company wants to start a coin it will be a big news spread everywhere in the media, I don't think there's any news coming in like that. Just ignore this news as of now.

I've ordered plenty of goods from amazon and it accept overseas shipping, basically not only USA but they serve USA customers ahead anyone else I guess, just see how they differentiate the website specialised for U.S people and outside U.S.
However if amazon do release an amazon coin, you will not going to have a hard time with all those issues you mentioned, it's like they will make their own payment gateway.

I'm not sure amazon will make crypto, most likely is the survey. but how the survey works and the interest of people to use amazon coins. there are several possibilities, but at this point the choice people will be more interested in other crypto that has been there before.
