Obviously, This is only for smart people along with their smart job. So that working smart is really essential at this moment. On the other hand, Working hard always and all the ways brings a lot of success. Without working hard, no one can succeed anywhere.
That's why we have to do our job with the combination of both smartness and hard work. No one can be smart without working hard. So at first, hard work should be started initially and then you will be smart naturally.

For me, working smart is thinking ways on how to work effectively without wasting any of your effort. Working hard is doing your job in the custom way with more effort to exert but success is really possible.

There are also some instances that working smart is not effective if you dont excute it well and working hard also can be failed if it is not well planned so the two should combine to have a successful output.

I will not fully agree to the definitions but to some extent you are right. Hard work for me is to do anything in which you are not thinking and doing it just according to the way you did it the previous day. Whereas smart work is to think about how you are doing the work and how that work can be done more efficiently in more economic way with lesser efforts involved. It means that the research and development are necessity to go towards the betterment.

That would fall to different kinds of people. Like what we all have known, a person is a unique individual. He or she would make himself what we wanted to be based on the influence of many factors in life.
Most of the time, the term "working smart" are introduced be parents who are socially inclined and "working hard" are introduced by mostly by the poor ( not in general; nor being bias ). well, that is for my understanding and my own perception.
A person starts from nothing and would probably think that working hard is the only chance of alleviating poverty. Thus, those who have already capital, would just learn how to make more and not by working under a boss.

yes indeed. we need them both in order to work well in a group. but i think the current society right now is verry different from what we expected. I notice that most of them are too lazy in order to work but they were smart at all despite of their laziness. That is why most of them dont really succeed in their life because of their bad habits. i think if they will only use their smartness , for sure they can change their life and also their mindset in order to strive and work more harder.

If we take the case of a man who is purely a smart worker against a man who is purely a hard worker, the winner will be the smart worker most of the time. I am not saying all of the time though. There are times when hard work will defeat all the odds. But that is more of an exception rather than the rule.

In my observation in the real world, there are those who are smart and yet lazy but ended up wearing a coat and tie and sitting on a chair in front of his laptop inside a cool and comfortable office. And then there are those who are very hardworking toiling under the sun all day long but always short in making ends meet.

Take note though that having both is much better and very possible.

trading smart and trading so much. difference is very clear. many people spend so many hours in exchange and tries to make profit. but some people prefer to search instead. and they earn much more comparing to the ones running for fast profits blindly.

Everyone wants to know how but most just ends up working for the man.

This is cause we have all been trained by our formal education to think in the exact same pattern when we solve problems and our moral sense about things are the same

For example, when we are tasked a job by our bosses, we approach it with the conventional thinking and work on it using the endorsed methods as taught by our schools and probably by the company we work for.

We seldom think hard about our methods and question whether in the first place, could we do this faster? The hard worker will continue and bury his thoughts. The smart worker will experiment with different methods and even though he may fail in his first try, eventually he may stumble on a better method and he will become faster and more recognised for it.

And at the same time, our moral sense also obliged us to work on our jobs on our own and not get outside help. The hard worker was taught to be responsible so he will work hard while the smart worker will outsource and get help to complete his job.. sometimes even just paying a colleague to do it for him.
