ClassicBitcoin new update is ready. New features include more nodes, stronger replay protection, a new address format will be implemented. an example of the new CBTC address CZTkxEJRnQcWtH1TTJWUBTdNrfCFMVAhCV
our test show transactions compatibility with the former wallet.
the new wallets will be available shortly if you're on unix you can build from source any feedback will be appreciated
N.B Once Input from the old Address Format is spent using the updated wallet, All remaining Funds/Change is sent to a new address, different from the CBTC address version of the old address. be sure to backup keys to these Newly Created Addresses.

Just downloaded the new wallet. Still shows my current wallet address as "3QJmnh", nothing else, but in my transactions where I've received CBTC so far I have this address - CQJW2ENrS1qKosk5xqSgLcQGNncpuV9BHY.
I created a new wallet address in the wallet app as CeDnnxW7iiYpAus1W865jG9NXvyLJpRNwu.
Is this the procedure to follow for the new wallet address format? Don't want to mess anything up. Can I use either address?

Fixed could you re-download the wallet, your address should look like XYZtBKYaUvXh7r6tFwofNhtskbfPGCwJJC the other addresses are new addresses. there is a switch to convert an old address to a new address you can view by typing convert cbitcoin-cli -convertaddress -help |
