I tried to create a new Electrum on my Windows 7 using an old address from my old Electrum.

I went to create default wallet > Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys

Then i typed an address. But i could type the Next button.

How do i proceed?

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If you want to restore your wallet with your funds then you will need one of these things: your wallet file + password (If encrypted), the seed or the private keys. You won't be able to spend anything If you only import the address, you will just know when there is an upcoming/outgoing transaction.

You were the author of the thread: Electrum - Newly installed but i had an old one
You assume that those 2 addresses are the missing addresses from the newly restored electrum wallet right?

Now, to check if those addresses belongs to the newly created electrum wallet, open console (View->Show Console) type:
Code:
ismine ("YOUR_ADDRESS")
Replace YOUR_ADDRESS with one of the addresses.

if it said "TRUE" the address belong to the SEED that you used to make the wallet.

OmegaStarScream was right and I would like to know if those addresses start with 1, 3 or bc1, for reference?

According to the OP, the next button is still grayed-out (not clickable) after you typed the address.
It simply means that there's something wrong with the address' format or you missed a character during copying/typing.

According to the OP, the next button is still grayed-out (not clickable) after you typed the address.
It simply means that there's something wrong with the address' format or you missed a character during copying/typing.

there are only two reasons why the next button is greyed out. one of them is what you said here, an error in the address itself when typing it in but also if you choose a different option and then enter an irrelevant data in it, then wallet won't let you move ahead.

for example if you choose recovery with seed but enter a private key there instead of your seed words.
since the second line in OP's comment doesn't make sense I say he chose a wrong path like this:
Standard wallet > Use public or private keys >
and then entered his address there.

he needs to choose the following path:
Import bitcoin addresses or private keys >
then enter his address

Only Bitcoin
