Wow,  it is completely a red flag for crypto community,  if Google stops advertising ICO, less people will be involved in crypto and capitalisation will grow with lower pace

Hmm maybe, but on the other hand, I think there will also be less scammy ICOs. I think that's the intent anyway.

It was Facebook first, I wasn't expecting Google to care but it's crazy to see the FBI involved.

But for what it's worth, I think this is good news. Those ads were terrible and I think other sites will follow suit.

Thoughts?
I think this is really a good action taken by the FBI Because here not only a type of stupid ads were flowing but also these were really terrible .
I remembered well that about 4-5 months ago I found that about 3 ads in header and 2 in footer of the front Google search about bitcoin to make bitcoin multiplier to 10-100times in 10 minute and many things like the same thing to scam people .
So in my opinion it is much better to close this system , if any platform that will be really better then surely it will comes into famouse use easily without any big advertisement .
So this is better type of force by the FBI is going to the Google for the better future of the cryptocurrency with less scam like things .

Facebook doesnt banned all of the ICO related advertisements, those who are getting banned were suspiciously scams and those they have acceoted are legit ICOs that is why you can still see some of the ICOs in paid advertising of facebook.Google should banned those ads so that people wont get scammed by these people, google ads should shut it down because most of the new investors are getting those scammy ads thru their advertising program.

banning crypto in google ads this will decreasing the victim of scams but this will affect for legit ICO they only gather few investors, if all social media will ban crypto, I don't know what will happen to the market.

Legit ICOs wont give up just because of this news, they will find other ways to advertise their legit project. If all social media will ban crypto then there will be a new social media based on crypto-currency. It will be a new place to share anything related to crypto without any worry of being banned. I hope there will be someone/a group of people create a new social media based on crypto.

Well when you have too much offers before you may likely make a wrong choice, and ads are advert to let us know new offers and some of those efforts are likely to fails and at the end it will be term scam. Me for once never like ads because it easily mislead into site that might end up scamming you or hack your account.

This would be a good news for the bounty hunters because the only way these ICOs will be promoted is thru this forum,ICOs should give more stakes so that we as bounty hunters will do our best to promote these ICOs,shouldnt be a big problem because legit ICOs will surely gain investors and those scam ICOs wont .

Google should do a background check first. There are too many scam projects we see their advertisement in Google based ad spaces. This is not a bad news. Full ban is not appropriate but they should regulate it.

It happened only because a lot of advertising campaigns were scam and their quantity was really incredible with all this hype.

These convince me that backdoor channel was the real reason on Facebook banning the crypto ads. I cannot blame FBI for doing these because as we know some ICO is really scam only. Up to now we don’t have safe guard on ICO scammer. Investor is really vulnerable on those criminal activities. I would not be surprise if someday Google will follow the suit. And if these will happen the price of BTC will surely plummeted to the lowest level this year.

FBI pressured, but ads still avaliable in my country. I think that it is too hard to ban any advertising in each country, because some state laws allow the cryptos.

I heard such sad news, but I did not think that this news was really true. You understand that most of what we now hear is really just an empty ring, which is created only for us to hear it and sell our crypt for the gift.

There are two problems at least. FB need to have team for ICO analysis. And the most problem is nb 2. From regulation it is one step to full control and post moderation. "Freedom of speech"?  Grin

Cryptocurrencies are at a stage where it doesn't needs platforms like Facebook and Google to promote itself. Word of mouth is happening enough that almost all the general public will know about it in a few years.
Cryptocurrencies are not that big, they may seem to be that big because we are surrounded of people that think like us, but that is not the case, now you say that cryptocurrencies can grow with word of mouth alone and while that is true how are we going to use that marketing strategy with Facebook and probably other social media websites when they are banning bitcoin ads.

Google will ban crypto ads including ICO ads.
I think for the future it will be a good thing, since ICO scams are becoming more and more frequent in the past months.
Good ICOs will raise their capital anyway. For now the market will drop though.

does not seem to be banned for media advertising media for this ico project, because not all that is said to be a scam or fraud, may be more stringent to be involved as a client of the parties concerned that alone I think

it think it can be good and also bad but for me it is good to prevent ICO scams out there and also to prevent scamming others and ruin the name of the crypto currencies
