Bitcoin is here since ages, and dozens of "better" an faster blockchains came around, it had no impact. Bitcoin is still leading the pack. There have been many forks and despite being faster they could not take Bitcoin over. With Ethereum it is similiar except that Ethereum is not only use a currency but thousands of developers building blockchain applications. This is not going away anywhere soon, especially not if they find a solution for the scaling issue, either through side chains or upgrade of the code.

In the end we are talking about computer code. Also the other blockchains only cook with water. And code can be updated, just research "Constantinople".

ethereum is a coin that has a good journey and ethereum is very fast in its growth even ethereum can surpass other coins that are considered to be going up. apparently ethereum gave a surprise with a high price. of course this is very good for the future of crypto or ethereum.
