It's risky to invest in new altcoins especially if there is not much information about the backgrounds of their respective devs.. I have no reason to doubt Eth and a few other alts though.

Of course not everything. because the evidence is ethereum which is also altcoin, which has existed since 2015 ago. Can last up to 3 years, and now even more popular and much-loved. So, just a few altcoins are indeed a scam.

In principle, I agree with him. However 99% I would cut up to 85%. Bitcoin will survive, Ethereum as the most popular currencies of mutual settlements, will experience what kind of cryptocurrency gives the possibility of real anonymity in transactions. Everything else will appear and die with a different lifetime.

I really do not care if all alts are a scam or not because what matters is whether you will be able to earn a profit there or not. If not then that's fine you can move on to a much better coin. If you earn a profit then it's good and you will yearn for more.

Most of them may be but they are not some of them.
I was into ripple too before the year of 2017 end, I thought it was a fine investment and the people are into it, but after coinbase rejected ripple on their wallet the market goes wild and holders started to panic and sold their tokens. that was the time that i decided to get out of ripple and try to have other alternative coins. Ripple is a bank base project which crypto community are not really into it but just on its hype.

Not every altcoins are scam, there are a lot of icos in the market who's platform is successful because most of the people are still trusting ico's today and they are investing a huge amount because they believe that they will earn more profit in the future.

No, I don't think so. All coins can't be scam. However, there are many scammers. In order to avoid them, it is necessary to learn the trading basics and to be very careful with the scam of alt coins

Let's see what define "scam", if a project is open source and can be compile directly from the source, while still functioning as it should, then it should not be considered as a scam.

Anyone can just download the source and keep a copy locally, no matter what happened, the technology is still there, and can be replicated as you wish.

I don't agree that all the altcoins are bullshit. Yes, most of them are just pacifiers that will die soon, but among the whole number there are good coins such as Ethereum, NEO, etc. the ones I'm doing will survive. Not only one bitcoin is worthy of it.
