Anybody else interested in the massive spike on Cryptopia?

Only problem is that its most likely due to the fact the wallet is in maintenance. We see this many times when a wallet is in maintenance where the coin happens to pump as its just the coins on the exchange that can participate in this.

The strange thing with Topia is that their wallet was working perfectly for a very long time but in the past month they all of a sudden have connection issues? Doesn't make sense to me.

Hello guys, our 808coin left a classic reversal (shoulder-head-to-shoulder) sign indicating a marvelous price climb. I believe that within the next 48 hours this will be confirmed.
We can have good earnings for the next 100 to 180 days.      Cheesy

This is what cryptopia sent me after sending them nodes via support ticket:

Sender: Grumpus 4/25/2018 3:40:27 PM

Hi asdfasdf,

Thank you for contacting Cryptopia Support.

We really appreciate you taking the time to send us these nodes, it helps to keep the exchange running smoothly for everyone.

Have a great day!

Kind Regards,
Cryptopia Support

-------------------------------

Reply was within a few hours so either they are deliberately keeping 808 coin down or they don't care. Very irritating. Let's see what happens within 24 hours I guess.

Well if we don't see a change within 24 hours, I suspect that they may very well be staking 808 coin. It just seems very strange that this has all of a sudden started happening with 808 when like I said its been running smoothly for over a year so why now they don't have connections. This is also why people should never leave coins on exchanges and should always have them stored in their own wallets. 808 coin isn't really what we would call a day trading coin so I'm not sure why so many people are leaving their coins on there. I just hope this is fixed soon as it is hurting the coin. When is Nova back? so then we can start using that exchange.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

I think all you need to do is submit the form for CMC and they will update, though sometimes it takes them a bit.

Going back a few pages and reading the previous texts helps a lot to get important information. Mainly, to maintain the quality of the forum level where everyone is just helping themselves. No one here is an employee of anybody, nor a victim of anything. Everyone has invested their money in a risk market and no one has to come looking to blame someone for this or that. Take your acts and the risks of your investments or get out of the market and keep working for a monthly salary and thinking that it is the fault of government, crisis, war, corruption or anything else that is not unique and exclusively yours .
Here is no place for mimimi ...
Do not outsource your responsibilities and the real culprit, of all things that are not going well in your life, you are reading these lines now. That's right: you're the one to blame!

So, instead of deflagrating low-slang words, search for learning wherever he is. You are and always will be the one to blame for the things you dislike.

Follow the text posted on page 5 of this topic. (we are on page 6).

The first two lines of this file 808.conf were fundamental to solve my problem and get a perfect working of the wallet.

I hope this can help many others who will come to 808coin.
This coin goes to the moon and I'll be together.

Gratitude to all.

You can find some nodes at https://tradesatoshi.com/Status under 808 and https://novaexchange.com/addnodes/808/ as well

Nova exchange is already working for 808 coin for aa couple of weeks now. Trade volume is low but if somoene wants to update coinmarketcap that would be swell.

Thank you my friend! I didn't even know that Nova was up and running again for trading. I'll be sure to also share this on Twitter and try and get more volume on Nova for 808. Nova at one stage was really starting to rival Cryptopia and with the issues going on with Cryptopia people should now start to use TradeSatoshi and Nova to trade 808 coin until Cryptopia get their act together and fix the wallet.

I'm personally thinking cryptopia is deliberately keeping the 808 coin wallet down. I'm about to declare them a scam exchange.

But yes, use the other exchanges like nova and trade satoshi. I'm pretty annoyed that I might have to update my book again because cryptopia is being stupid.

I am thinking the same thing my friend as there is no need for them to have the wallet in maintenance when for over a year they never had any issues with connections and now all of a sudden in the last month they are having connection issues??? It just doesn't make sense to me unless they are up to something like staking coins. We have been seeing exchanges do this more often now days so could Cryptopia be doing it as well?

i send support ticket and this is their response

Thanks for contacting Cryptopia.

At the time I write this there are currently no connections to the 808 wallet (as you're aware), sorry if this is causing any inconvenience at present. I've asked our admins to restart this wallet in the hopes that will help, but it's been like this for nearly a week now.

In lots of cases, there isn't anything we're able to do unless we're given some more nodes to try by the coin devs, so we will just need to play a bit of a waiting game with this one if restarting the wallet doesn't help. Along those lines, I would recommend keeping an eye on our Coin Info page at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/, to monitor the status of any of our coins.

Once this obtains some new connections, all pending deposits should come through. Unfortunately, I do not have any ETA as to when this will happen. This is not something that's easily predictable due to being outside of Cryptopia's control.

I apologise if this is causing any inconvenience at the moment.

I suddenly have 128 connexions to the wallet. I am not complaining, I have sometimes been running on 3 or less, but I was just wondering what the heck was happening, that is a pretty unusual turn in crypto.

The strange thing with this reply from them is that one of our community members bastilar sent them active nodes the other week and they thanked him for them but still they didn't fix the wallet. Now they are saying to you that they need the coins dev to send them active nodes lol It seems that there are different replies all the time from them, lets see now that MrEggman sent them some nodes what they do.

Just found the new thread and a long time 808 staker.  I guess just haven't the wallet running last 2 months hasn't been a problem.  So many coins I invested in have forked or had devs go missing, hard to keep track at times.

Hello!

Its great to see you here again, I also just found this new thread a few weeks ago. Yeah same here, been running this wallet for a very long time now with no problems at all. I sometimes have the connections drop out but they soon return as more come online to stake. I know what you mean my friend, there have been so many forks and wallet updates in the past few months with many coins out there. I'm glad we haven't had any here as why change something that is working perfectly which the 808 wallet does.

I noticed that the volume on TradeSatoshi is starting to pick up and lets not forget about Nova Exchange!
