Hi, I was wondering is there a designated date when people around the world celebrate Bitcoin invention or creation of cryptocurrencies in general? I mean commonly accepted tradition, something like International Programmers' Day: Programmers are greeted with positive comments like “Happy Programmer’s Day” in some work environments on International Programmers' Day. The observance is also mentioned among programming communities in online forums and social media, including on Facebook or Twitter. I think it would be fun to have such a day for the crypto community It would be so nice !!!

Thank you for all your replies!
Honestly, it's hard to find free time now. But I'll try to work on a small proof of concept in the following days. Maybe I'll also launch a poll in a new thread.

Bitcoin has made a lot of miracles and it has created a cryptocurrency market as of now, so on the day of bitcoin I wish the investors in the cryptocurrency market always succeed and good luck.

Even Bitcoin is not legal on all parts of the world. We can celebrate International bitcoins day but not them. But it is a great oppotunity to raise awareness on the great things crypto currency have. Who knows, maybe those country who banned bitcoin changed their mind and crypto currency would be freely used by all people around the globe. I wonder what date is it.

Virtually all modern smartphones have a built-in camera, which made it possible to use QR-codes as a common method of Bitcoin-communications.

I think we can associate the day of birth of bitcoin as a national day of bitcoin. If it is realized then Bitcoin will become better known and will also become more influential in life. I support and will continue to work. We really need to think quickly so that something like this can happen, hopefully this forum can facilitate everything, I am very optimistic.

Economists also note another weak point: bitcoin strongly resembles a financial pyramid. The matter is that ordinary exchanges are interconnected and play the role of intermediary between the holder and the buyer of shares.

there is Bitcoin Pizza Day which is celebrated on May 22. as you now Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10 000 BTC and this fact made bitcoin famous. I think this purchase made very much for promoting bitcoin.
Oh, really? I didn't know that fact. Well, there's nothing wrong if we're gonna promote btc by considering the suggestions of OP, having a celebration of International Bitcoin Day i'm sure people will get too curious about btc. That way, digital currencies will spread all over the world.

Considering the alternative currency scenario, we can assume that the system can follow the technological characteristics of competitors without changing the fundamental part of the protocol itself.

That is not a great thing. I think the bitcoin that day will be a lot of supporters. bitcoin will hit the highest value. All the nations of the world will participate in the International Bitcoin Day parade.
International Bitcoin day and Google is celebrating it by replacing it two Os with the coins. It may be the day when Bitcoin reaches the highest value of the decade. And it will reaches to the highest place as it is going popular day by day and the investments are also increasing within seconds so it will be the only future currency very soon.

But why we should celbrste in public? Giving a good opportunity to the thefts maybe we should wear mask like annonymous.

This "transfer" is accompanied by "The Times 03 / Jan / 2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks".

Just I rather be waited for years, I could think that as "Forget money" which is very easy. You just have to sit and relax and wait for years.

I like and support this proposal. Bitcoin a digital online currency have no observing day. Bitcoin international observing day should be proposed. One say people take a better step to observe it as internationally.
I also liked this offer because bitcoin should be a digital currency cryptmarket, it should also be international day so that all the people connected with it enjoy this day. thank you.

10,000 BTC? If only we could see the future. I certainly would have killed to buy a handful of Bitcoin when it was well under $100. But, thank you for the informational on which day was the day the first item was bought with Bitcoin!
