The problem is picking the altcoins to move money to. It seems that Bitcoin performs better than most altcoins but there will always be some altcoins that will not drop as much in a dip. It’s hard to predict which those will be. For example, in this drop today, IOTA is the only coin on the top 100 to gain value while the others lost value. I doubt many people could have picked that coin to do well today.

It's impossible to pick just one coin in current market. If we look at the main worry of the market, then it's more a global unjustified fear for regulations. Regulations don't only affect Bitcoin, but the entire market, and that's why even Ethereum & Co are going down. Usually when it only concerns Bitcoin that is going down, and there isn't anything hinting at new regulations, Ethereum & Co will increase. It's a shift of capital that we have seen happen for quite a long time now, and exactly that is lacking right now. The market has gone down so much, that people rather park their capital in fiat than in any crypto currency, which to a certain extent is understandable.

Since the effect of google fud is being shown on the market prices in the last 12hrs i believe if another fud comes out this week we might see another ATL for this year but hopefully fingers cross that will not happen as i'm getting impatient with this bearish market.
That is useless, a lot of people have already said that the FUD about Google and the ads has not impacted over the price, the only thing that is making the price go down are those folks who have invested on bitcoin at $20k, nothing more.

Hi guys , does anyone have any good short term predictions for Bitcoin? or should we move to other cryptocurrencies?
for me i prefer to stay on bitcoin rather than jumping to another alt when there's a minor drop . 'cause it's just a normal correction of price and after it will pump back again , so you must stay on it and put some patience   'cause for sure you will jump back if you moved to other alt then you noticed the growth rate is increasing again. So much better to stay on it and keep holding don't mind those fud's. Or else your money will end up into fees if you continue jumping . Lol

The price went up to $8,300 today! People should gain more confident to buy more Bitcoin and Bitcoin price will rise again.

My prodiction is that Bitcoin will reach $9,000 today.

I think bitcoin for short-term trading is obviously going to be hard to make a profit every day but if you buy altcoin you can certainly apply daily trading there but short term tradiing has a very high risk.

IMO if you want to invest short-term, you can save your money in WAVES or RIPPLE, because I think this coin is very suitable for those of you who like short-term investment. I personally invest long-term bitcoin, the benefits of bitcoin are on long-term investments, we all know a lot of people who succeed because investing bitcoin for the long term.

Possibly will go to 12K before dropping again.  I can't see it going above that this year.  Bottom well that's anyone's guess.  Depends on what the whales decide.  And I'm not one of those.

It will not be accurate. It is a gamble.
Even the pro traders do have a hard time predicting where bitcoin will go that is why they switched to a cheaper coin where they can play with market.

Anywhere it goes it will still be a prediction and no one can tell if it will happen. Better just leave it as it is and just HODL.
we can see it in XRP / USD, how short-term development for bitcoin movement is feasible or not

I agree that maybe the short term price is around $9K-$10. Maybe at the end of the week we will see around that ball park price. Specially that we are riding in a 2 day price increase.

It maybe because of the G20 meeting which looks to be very promising and favorable as of today. So I'm hoping that its gonna be sustainable at least for this week and then we will see how it goes before the end of the month if we are going to get to 5 figures.

Short term investing in taking profit in bitcoin is kinda hard. You know why? Price is unpredictable, it depenss on you on how you will attack to buy in the market. We may never know when is the next up for the price. Yes buying altcoins has the potential can be good for short term period for taking profit.

It's hard enough picking out good altcoins to invest in. And even if we get to pick good altcoins, it's inevitable for an event to occur - such as the recent regulation made - which would affect not only bitcoin but the whole cryptocurrency market. Those who have invested are now losing a lot because practically the whole market has gone red. What traders may do now is to buy more coins now that it's in a cheaper price or to move on to another investment if they can't take any more losses.

In fact, only those who do not actually have knowledge of how the market has been for a while now with respect to alt will be moving into other cryptocurrencies.

I believe all these FUDs about regulation will die down and apparently may change a lot of things, but we really need something to gear in some buying momentum in the market as it is right now. Fiat just seems more like a safe place now like you have said until further notice. Probably what the governments want to achieve from all these.

Short term prediction should be based on some specific event. OP must think about that. Can anyone ever give a precise prediction ? This is a market and we can only respond to whatever the market gives us one day at a time, but predicting what will happen in the future is one thing no one can know. Moreover, moving to other cryptocurrencies will not be the solution to anything. Apparently, you have not watched the market closely to know what happens to the altcoins once bitcoin is going down.

well, it is quite risky if we want to use bitcoin in the short term. maybe it can be done, but, we do not know when bitcoin prices to go down. so, I guess it's risky. to cover that risk, we must really keep it up to the point of rising, and we do not know when it happens with certainty.

hmm I do not know, I never thought bitcoin suitable for short-term investments. IMO bitcoin is always good in the late and mid year. for example, in 2017 bitcoin exploded at the end of the year, after the beginning of the year bitcoin back down. if you want to invest short term, i recommend ripple, waves, neo and litecoin. this coin has different uniqueness and advantages. this coin can also be your lucky coin. it's up to your decision bro!

there are times like this when making a short term prediction for bitcoin price becomes nearly impossible because of the way market moves. for example we have been in a bear market and price was showing all signs of a drop for past days but since yesterday when the news about G20 came out price recovered and then there is also a good buy support shaping up for bitcoin. this can be enough to start the rise from now on or it can be start of another long sideways movement again.

It completely depends on individual's choice but as far as short.term investments are concerned then this is not the right time for it but investing in the month of September and then cashing it in the month of December can yield you a good amount of profit in shorts terms.

Short term prediction is hard for now since bitcoin' is in constant rise and fall. But investing in bitcoin is not for short term only. It has a very good result/earning profit if you keep your bitcoin for long.

Hi guys , does anyone have any good short term predictions for Bitcoin?
It is too hard to predict in short term... I guess targeting long term target is always easy and achievable.  I am aiming for $25k price levels by end of this year. Because, any prices above $15k will be getting me big profits for my investments.

should we move to other cryptocurrencies?
Like many people here, I never trust any altcoin as they may get dumped at any time. Dumps also happening with bitcoin too. But bitcoin will bounce back for sure. Altcoins may bounce back or may not for ever.
